I'm 28 weeks pregnant and the baby is already vertex!

This morning, my OB confirmed that, based on what he's feeling, the baby is already vertex (head down).  I'm only 28 going on 29 weeks which he said is a bit early for this to have happened, but I remember having it happen early with DS, too.

I know that this doesn't necesarily "mean" anything:  babies can stay like this for a long time....and he/she might even still flip around in the meantime.  DS was late (I eas induced at 41 weeks), so I know it doesn't mean that anything is imminent - which I'd prefer, anyway...i want baby to stay in there for at least another 10 weeks, if I have any say about it (which I know I don't!)

Nope, I'm not worried!  I haven't noticed any contractions or crazy pressure down there or anything.  If anything, I'm just happy that the baby knows what he or she is doing ;-)

With both of my pregnancies, my boys were head down by 24 weeks and stayed that way until delivery. I was told it wasn't cause for concern, but that it was a good thing. As long as baby isn't engaged and you are not having a lot of consistent contractions, no worries. =)

My first 3 pregnancies my boys were head down the whole time. So I dont think it should be of concern. Its not like baby is engaged or anything yet. Then I would worry, lol:-)

Mason has been head down since around 26/27w.... before that he'd flip to be horizontal...

today I swear he moved towhere he was laying left to right and not head down for a while... he's been going nuts in there!
