Implantation bleeding

I am just wandering about implantation bleeding. I did not expierance it with my prior pregnancy (or at least I didnt know if I did) and I am wandering aprox how long after ovulation does this happen? I had a faint faint positive the other day but I just used the RR and noticed on the TP that there was some very light pink on it. I didnt think I would get a faint positive unless it has implanted so thats where I am confused! My peroid is a day or two past due (I was on the pill) so I am super lost! Thanks

Yup you could have implated just a few days ago, and got a faint positive. Some implantation bleeding can even seem like a light period, or just a simple little streak, I have not had it with my pregnancies, but I hear that it is pretty commen! Congratulations on the pregnancy!

BTS1022 ~ I read that you have to have had implantation for your HCG to rise because it was produced by the placenta, and thats not formed till after implantation, IDK I read it probly on the internet I could be misinformed. :)

I never thought I had implantation bleeding with any pregnancy, until I asked my doc about it. It can occur several weeks after implantation takes place. It takes 6 to 10 days like Lach said for the egg to travel and reach the uterus, but it can take another week to 10 days for the egg to actually implant in your uterus. So you can infact get a faint positive before implantation actually takes place. And I was told your HCG begins to rise once the egg is fertilized....so you could have gotten the positive when the egg was still making it's way to the uterus.

I hope this helps. I asked my doc about this info, because I had early bleeding in my pregnancy...

I never had implantation bleeding with any of my pregnancies but from what i have read it can happen at around day 6 through to 10 as it takes this long for the fertillized egg to travel down the tubes and inbed in your uterus, which then causes the bleeding.  Sometimes you can get some bleeding alot later in your pregnancy (like week 6 etc) and this is old blood from the implantation that didn't come out before.  This is when some women get freaked it could be a miscarriage.  But if the blood is dark in colour and light in amount then it is old blood and not a miscarriage.  I would think in your situation that you should not have seen a positive if the implantation had not occured yet and i would have thought that the implantation would have occured sooner than a day after your period is due.  So i think it is either the start of your period, or old blood or you may be off with your timing of ovulation and periods.  I hope it turns out as you want and maybe you should do another test in a days time as if you are past when your period should be due it would show on a test - good luck.

I was just looking this information up a moment ago on the internet!  My reason is because I shouldn't have period until the 5th of October, and today I noticed some light brownish/pinkish blood when I wiped on the TP. (tmi i know sorry).  And what i was reading stated that you could see this about 6-12 days past ovulation.  I really don't know when I ovulated - could have been around the 12th or the 21st LOL.  I'm hoping the 12th and this is implantation bleeding for me, but am not getting my hopes up by any means, because i could wake up tomorrow morning with a full blown period - WHICH WOULD BE SUPER EARLY FOR ME!

Anyhoo, i hope that answered your question and GOOD LUCK
