When I had 2 take them my doc told me 2 drink lots of water and orange juice. She also said try and not drink any caffinie. I know they say don't while ur pregnant any way but if u take iron pills ur not suppose 2
drink heaps of water, increase your intake of fibre, add a kiwifruit or something similar to your mels everyday and as one of the posts have said do the bran or raw muesli, raw muesli is good for breakfast as 1 cup of raw muesli contains around 5 gms of iron as well :)
i have to take iron pills too, and i definitely know how you feel about being constipated. lol. I ate a lot of things really high in fiber, and a lot of fruit i found helped me...
if you need a kick start stool softeners don't hurt either. yoga is helpful also to get things going if you dont want to take medicine. or, if you're like me, eat something you're allergic to. ; )
eating bran flakes or high fibre based cereals is good to help go #2. x
