Is the ER doc and my OB crazy?!

I went Wednesday for a regular check up and was supposed to only be 17 weeks and 3 days based on my LMP. But my OB said my uterus was measured at 24 weeks. And now I was having unusual pains in my upper stomach and lower back and so I went to the ER tonight, got a Sono there and he says I am 22 weeks and 6 days based on the baby's measures... How can I be nearly 5 weeks more than what I am supposed to be? My LMP was Dec 15th and original due date was Sept 21st but ER doc says my due date is Aug 16th.... Has this happened to anyone else or is my local health professionals completely nuts??

Happened at my first appointment by my LMP I was supposed to be 8wks but the ultrasound showed 11wks. Ultrasounds are way more accurate than estimating by LMP.

Happened to me - I thought I had my "period" the first month I was pregnant. Didn't find out I was pregnant until I missed the period after that. We thought I had only just conceived until my sonogram and then all of a sudden I was two and a half months pregnant...

Perhaps what you thought was your last period was actually just implantation bleeding...
