Is this normal??? PLease comment if you have experienced it!

I am 39 weeks pregnant, and this week i realised that the lower part of my belly in the middle ( about 4 inches below belly button) i can feel lumpy stuff which feel like think nerves! is this normal is this the placenta/veins or is the belly supposed to be solid rock at the lower part and not feel like this??? I wanted to go and get checked but hubby is saying i am worrying unnecessary as they clearly feel like thick nerves which might be the placenta... have you felt the same??

Yes, I totally have that too. I'm 40 weeks along now I have a little pooch right under my belly button that developed a couple weeks ago, and it's covered in stretch marks that are elevated and feel lumpy, much like the previous post said. It feels weird and kinda gross, and it does kinda feel like veins or nerves or something!... but, my doctor is not at all concerned. She said it's just normal skin changes. I'm sure you're fine, but if it would ease your mind you can put a call in to your doc.

I'm 38w2d and my lower belly below the button has become very smooshie and elastic-like?

I dunno about the lumps though because I've gotten very very bad stretchmarks below the belly botton, and they're raised and hard, so I can't tell what is stretchmark, and what isn't.

I saw the doc on wednesday though, and she said that changes in the lower belly around this time is very normal.
But if it concerns you that much, the doc is only a phone call away!

I have a little soft bulge on the bottom of my belly, right under my belly button. It's soft and not fluid filled, but Im not sure what it is either. I haven't had this issue with any other pregnancy, but I will be asking my doc on Monday.
