I will be 32 wks tomorrow. I have a doctor's appointment today so I'm hoping the doctor will tell me that the contractions are just Braxton Hicks. I never had them before and I have two boys. It's kinda scary, I'm ready to see my baby but not this early.

With my first I never felt any contractions until after I was 5 cm (water broke at 1 cm) after that it was quite hard to miss. I think it is very possible for them to be non painful in the beginning stages of labor but not the whole thing.

It is possible, but there eventually comes a point where they become very painful.
For me, I start out timing my contractions because mine don't hurt until I am at least 7-8cm.
I will give you an example, with my last pregnancy, I timed them and they were coming ever 2-3 minutes. I felt a tightening and then slight pressure in my bottom and that was it. They stayed that way for 2 hours and I finally called my midwife and she said I should head in. Got there and was 5-6cm and in labor, but was able to walk around, talk through them, went for an hour walk. Came back and was 7cm, and she broke my water and then the pain kicked in big time!!

So, it is possible. Everyone woman is different. The important thing is to time them and if they remain very consistent and are lasting  30seconds to a minute, it could be the real thing.

How far along are you?

Painless contractions are called Braxton hicks contractions.. They are pretty much practice contractions your body preparing for the real thing later in pregnancy! How far along are you?
