Leaking fluid??? HELP me!!!! 39 weeks, 4 days
I just woke up to go pee and so I did my thing and I wiped and it was really slippery. So I wiped again and it was still slippery. I must have wiped four or five times...I smelled it to see what it smelled like and it didn't really smell like anything. It was clear and slimy, almost reminded me of semen, but it wasn't white, it was clear. On my underwear is like a mixture of discharge and something that is making my underwear look wet, like I've been sweating? I haven't had any contractions at all. If you leak amniotic fluid can it be a slow leak? Maybe I should change my underwear and see if anymore comes out?
Its your mucus plug. I went through the same thing at 34 weeks. I went to the hospital & all thinking my water broke or something was wrong. Just wear pads, it might stop soon. Mines did after 2 weeks.
I have the same problem i am 39 weeks and 3 days, alot of pelvis pressure. I lost my mucus plug a month ago.. and underwear allways wet but today it was more wet then normal.. i dont want to go to l&d and its nothing.. has anyone had this problem. This is my first child. And i am really low. I can feel him moveing like his head is hanging out. No contrations tho. That i know of
Hon, i think it's safe to say that what you lost was your mucas plug menaing baby is not too far around the corner..... I would worry about it.. You only pose a great risk for infection if your water breaks and you go more than 24 hours without going into hard labor.... I would just call the Dr and see what they say....... Sounds like baby is coming!!!!
When my water broke it was really wet down there and a little slimy. Usually when your water breaks the mucus plug comes out as well or at least that is what happened to me. I would call L&D to be on the safe side. They might ask you to come in and maybe you'll be having baby soon! :)
Well I posted the same thing on the other pregnancy board I go to and they said it sounded like it was some of my mucous plug, only because I described it as slimy and a little thick. They said if it was my water, it would be watery, not so much slimy? I haven't had much of anything else come out but I may give L&D a call.
If you think your water is leaking then you need to go to the hospital. Once it starts leaking or it breaks they like to have you deliver within 18 hours since there is a chance of infection. My water broke at 38 weeks and they had me come in right away and induced me since I wasn't having any contractions.
I agree with evthing4reason! I had a slow leak with my first but that was almost 4yrs ago and I dont really remember what it looked like I just remember my panties were constantly wet and it had no smell! You may be on your way! Good luck and let us know!
keep an eye and if there is anymore or you start having any pain call labour and delivery
The discharge is almost whitish and then there's a bunch of clear stuff and then my underwear is also wet, almost like after you go for a run and your panties are all sweaty??? Or at least I sweat down there during a run!
I'd put on a liner or a pad and if anymore comes go to the hospital, I'd say you might just have your baby in the next few days. What color is the discharge in your underwear? Brownish? or could you have lost your mucus plug??
