Miscarriage question....

I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant....i had a miscarriage november 20th 2007.....i got pregnant quick after i guess....will my chances of having another miscarriage be just as high? or will it be higher because i got pregnant so soon after? Or will the baby  be fine???

I am pregnant again, 4 weeks after a natural miscarriage. I am almost six weeks and have had no issues :)

If you had the miscarriage naturally without having a D&C then it is safe to become pregnant soon after miscarriage.  However, if you have a D&C you should wait at least 3 cycles.

I had a D&C on 12/10 due to a missed miscarriage and my Doc told me to wait 3 cycles....I've heard though that they just say that for dating purposes for when you get pregnant again.......I guess there's always a 1 in 4 chance of miscarriage with any pregnancy but the fact that you already had one doesn't predispose you to another...Lots of people get pregnant right after and have healthy babies....Lots of luck and CONGRATS!  How exciting!

My doctor said the same thing as sfritz's. When I miscarried I got pregnant right away and I went on to have a normal healthy full term pregnancy. Hopefully the same happens for you. Congrats on your pregnancy! :)

When I miscarried my doc told me it was perfectly fine to try again right away. He said that the previous m/c would not affect it. I would just start on your prenatal vitamins to make sure you and baby are getting what you need. Congrats!!
