Any news? How are you doing?
Awe I wish you luck ! ... I've heard that it's near impossible to hear the heartbeat that early anyhow ... we weren't able to hear our littlw guys until 11 weeks and I had had an ultrasound done at nine +3 .. I am now 25 weeks and he is healthy ... . don't let yourself get too worked upuntilyou get a second opinion .. hope all goes well and that gave you some peace of mind
I feel your pain. At 6 wks I picked up one of my students and they resisted. I had terrible pain and bleeding and was rushed to the er. The er doctor told me the same thing. He said if you are going to miscarry then you will. I left there more hysterical then when I arrived. However a little bed rest for two weeks and no lifting and I am now 24 wks pregnant and baby is healthy. I'm glad the. Prick doctor was wrong. Hang in there. Good luck to you and your baby. Try to stay positive.
I would recommend you ask for another u/s in few days... it could be possible tht u r too early.. u may be 4 or 5 wks...
My levels where high and I will get tested tomorrow which will be 48 hours apart.
When I was 7 weeks I was back & forth to the ER because of bleeding & cramping! They could barely see the yolk sack & couldn't see a heart beat! Get doctors To test your pregnacy levels every 3 days like they did me! If the #'s keep climbing then you & baby are fine! By the way my bleeding & cramping was from the baby implanting himself into my uterine wall :) good luck & keep the faith
The tech told me she didn't know how to use the machine. Lol. Yeah I'm getting my second opinion. I have already had the worst case in my head so it can only be good news.
Always get a second opinion!
Although some ER docs dont have the best bedside manner, they usually give you the worse possible scenario. Unfortunately. At 14 weeks i went in by ambulance due to heavy bleeding, diagnosed with a bad sunchorionic hemmorhage. The ER doc told me that i would indeed go home and have a miscarriage so basically be prepared for the passing of the baby. Anyways, i am now 26 weeks with a healthy girl. So with that said, they can be wrong, just stay positive and lets hope for the best.
An er dr cannot diagnose a miscarriage unless he literally sees a fetal pole without a heartbeat. (I'm not saying you are wrong, but the tech may not have been trying to "figure out how to take a pic" for 20 mins. She might have been looking at the embryo, waiting to see if there will be any kind of cardiac activity. ) and there isn't always heavy bleeding as soon as the heart stops beating. If can sometimes take weeks for the embryo to pass naturally. Our you may need a d+c.
Of course I hope the er dr was wrong and your baby is perfect, but I also don't want you to get your hopes up.
Well we keep joking we will sure the E.R. doc if he was wrong. He told me there is no way they could be wrong about a heart beat. which is B.S
The first two months I was pregnant I had spotting and cramping. I'd file a complaint on that doctor. I'm currently 24+4 with a healthy and very active little boy.
