Mucus plug

been loosing my plug for a couple days now. My question is, am I the only one? It's a brownish discharge with blood tinted. But when I'm in the bathroom all I can smell is the smell of period blood. Anyone else?

Well, I didn't see it as being rude? My doctor also told me there is no need to rush to the hospital for loosing your plug. I lost mine two weeks before delivery. He told me if I were to go to the hospital just because of that the nurses would look at me, and send me home. So I can see what she is saying. She didn't sound like she knew everything about pregnancy,  she is just following her doctors orders. If u start having contractions within 5 mins apart for an hour, go to the hospital. Best of luck!

your comment just implied that you think you know everything about pregnancy, and it was kind of rude. No one used "lols" or anything like that. You just came off as extremely snobby by assuming that no matter what you shouldnt go to the doctors for losing your mucus plug, which sometimes you should. Maybe you should just reconsider your wording the next time you decide to reply back to someone who was giving you advice on a pregnancy advice forum.

And wasn't rude anyways sorry I don't use "lols" or other things in my responses. But get off your high horses and immediately thinking I'm rude. And no not to early but thanks I'm 39 weeks and  3 days.

I have no infections been checked multiple times. Wasn't rude was stating what my doctor said. Geez people calm down. Already been told going to the hospital for loosing my plug will be a waste of time. Especially when there's no signs of labor.  It's not my mucus plug that smells. I just simply can't get the smell of period blood out of my nose. I just asked if anyone else was like this. Thank you and good day.

I agree I think you should go to the hospital, not all women have their waters break naturally so you should go to the hospital or you might end up having the little one at home

Shes just giving you advice due to what she has gone through its your decision to take it or not, really no need to be so rude about it.

It's far better to be safe than sorry during pregnancy. And an infection can lead to a complicated labor.

Yeah... actually their advice was kind of nice and important, because sometimes if you have a weird smell from it or it comes out too early, you can get an infection in your cervix without even knowing.... so you just disregarding her advice so ignorantly was kind of unsettling.

It's your decision whether to go to the hospital or not. I think the other person was just giving an advice. I thought your comment was quite rude

Going to the hospital for loosing my mucus plug won't do anything. When my water  breaks is when I'm supposed to go. Was just wondering about the faint period  blood smell

Yes that is normal... you need to go to the hospital though because once you loose your mucus plug you usually go into labor... i went in to labor a week after i lost mine
