My period ended 13 days ago and I'm spotting dark blood

  My name is Anita and I'm 24 years old.  My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 3 years.  I have been pregnant twice.  The first time with twins, I lost the 1st in the first few weeks an the 2nd at 20 weeks.  ( I gave birth to a girl... we named her Natalie Grace DeVall.)  Then I found out I was pregnant 2 days before new years of last year.  I had a egg topic pregnancy 5 days later.  They removed one of my tubes.  ( I almost died from a infection... I had 106.0 fever for a week an nothing would break it.  I had cellulites and a womb infection.)
  
  Well my husband and I are trying again.  MY PERIOD ENDED 13 DAYS AGO AN NOW I'M SPOTTING DARK BLOOD.  I don't know what to think.  I'm taking the diet pill PHENTERMINE so I thought maybe it was a side effect so I did a online search.  I learned that the pill that I'm taking is often used for woman that have heavy bleeding.  It slows it down.  So... needless to say that left me a bit puzzled.  Could that be implantation?  I don't have any pain... just a little discomfort.  I normally have 30 days between each period.  Is it to soon for a pregnancy test to show being I haven't missed my period yet?  Then to make things more puzzling I had a pap done almost 5 months ago.  Could I be having a miscarriage?  (  Both of my pregnancy's were VERY painful. )

i too had problems with pregnancies ....and 1 very important thing i did learn was even while you are trying to get pregnant you need to try to keep things as natural as possible ...do not take diet pills take a prenatal vitamin to prepare your body for pregnancy ....some women have break thru bleeding/spotting in between periods if it persists i would schedule with your gyno....dont count it as your period i would schedule something now for the week after your period is due just incase you are late so you have an appointment already but definitly stop diet pills any alcohlo or smoking and limit otc meds as much as possible hope it helps

It could be implantation bleeding.  This is a very old post.  I was not pregnant after posting this.  But I got my BFP in July!  I'm due April 12.  Have you tested?  Some woman have periods while pregnant.  Or it could be a hormonal inbalance.  Lets us know the results when you test!  Anita

I felt pregnant a few cycles ago.  However since I was still getting my period, I shrugged it off.  Then my Mom reminds me that she had a cycle for 3 months when she was pregnant with my brother.  Needless to say, the last day of my cycle was 13 days ago.  My cycle is anywhere from 24 - 29 days.  I am having a very little amount of light pinkish spotting today.  I feel somewhat like my cycle is coming on, but I don't think it will.  Could I be pregnant?  This has never happened to me before.  My boobs are also soooo sore and sensitive.

You may have ovulated later hence why your period isnt here,if a test is still negative,i would suggest wait a week,test again,or go for a blood test.

With my second daughter... I didn't get a positive pregnancy test right away either. At best it was so faint you couldn't even tell it was positive! Keep hope. Some people don't get a positive for a few days to a week after AF is due.

My period was due today but never came.  I retested last night with a first response ... it was negative.  Is it possible to be pregnant and it show negative?  I'm really depressed.  I'm 24... this shouldn't be that difficult.  I only have one tube so I have 50% chance of getting pregnant.  Has any one out there been through this...?  If so please reply.  And if I'm not pregnant why did I had the dark spotting?  I teach 3 year olds for a living.  I see people every day that mistreat their kids, smoke & drink while pregnant, ... people that have no idea how blessed they are.  Its really hard for me.  Then to make matters worse I have 3 pregnant co-workers and 5 pregnant parents that I see on a daily basis.  I just feel hopeless... please reply.... I'm going to retest next week.  I have been trying to get pregnant for a while now .  I have taken those apart in the past and there was alway just one line and I wasn't pregnant.  So I don't know what to think.

There's always 2 lines on the clear blue tests when you take them a part......i'm sorry to say that doesn't mean you're pregnant.....i think the earliest those test can show positive is 5 days before your missed period.....i would wait a few more days before testing again.....good luck

I took 2 digital clearblue easy test last night and they both said "not pregnant".  ( Keep in mind that my period isn't suppose to start until the 22nd or maybe a few days before.)  So I took the thing apart to see if there was 2 lines.  Both had 2 lines.  Dose this mean that I'm pregnant?  I don't know what to think.  I feel pregnant but I don't want to get my hopes up until I know for sure.  I have been very tired, i have been getting heart burn,  frequent urination, very thirsty, an that "full" feeling in my stomach.  Please let me know what you think.................Anita.

the spotting stopped today.  I found a web site that said that you can spot dark blood during ovulation... is this true?  That was the only site that I found that said that.  I really hope I'm pregnant... how soon can i test?  I don't want to get excited and get let down so I really need a answer to this.  After 3 miscarriages I don't think I could handle another let down.
