what can happien if you take pain pills threw your whole pregnacy?norcos.But im trying to stop at the last of it.im 35 weeks im trying to stop??pleasee HELP IM FREAKING OUT:*(

I'm on norcos now. They were prescribed to me for extremely intense gallbladder pain at 32 weeks. I'm now 38 weeks and I only need to take one pill at night and one pill if I'm having an attack. My doctor told me to watch my baby's movements closely and I shouldn't worry as her growth has been a week ahead. As for the drug testing in the newborn I was concerned as well but if you have a reason you need to be on them your doctor can explain to the hospital/social workers.

you need to tell your Dr ASAP.  it only makes things worse if you don't.   They need to know so that they are prepared for baby to go through some detox and they know that you and baby will test positive in the hospital.  You don't want Childrens services to get involved because once they are then it's hard to not be on the radar from them.

what parkersmommy said is all true but also if you just quit cold turkey it may send you into labor so maybe tapering will help you..  but i would talk to your doctor for sure so they know ..  So like you weren't trying to hide this which they would be able to take your child if you don't let your doctor know.. it has to be in your chart atleast..  but there are options here ..

A lot can happen or nothing at all. If they test the baby's first stool when he/she is born and there is drugs in the baby's poop than they may try to take your child from you especially if you test positive as well. The baby could be born low birth weight or have other things (google it) and of course the baby would be addicted to them if you don't stop
