Natural Birth or Csection?

So in the begining of my prgnancy ive been saying I want to do a 100% natural birth no epiduarl threw my back since theres a chance it might cause complications and pain after. Then I realized that natural birth can cause severe tearing which can lead to a great deal of pain for the next couple months after I give birth and cause me discomfort in the bathroom which leads to stitches opening and getting them closed and all that hectic stuff..So now im thinking bout csection...I herd that the scar hardly shows and theres no discomfort after..Can anyone plz giv me advice or tell me their experience. ..THANK U :)

I tore really bad with my first son and after a week I felt back to normal. This is how I look at it, natural birth = might tear, csection = 100% sliced open. For me I would always pick a natural birth over a major operation if I had a choice, good luck!

With my first baby I was induced. No epidural and only got 5 stitches. With my second I had him naturally no tears or anything. Was able to go home the next day.

Brynn said it perfect. You actually have a better chance of tearing if you get the epidural. Also, look into different positions. Laying on your back pushing is the worst position you can be in, look into squatting or delivering on all fours. I'm hoping to be able to do it all natural while squatting but we will see how it all goes. I seen a video of a c section & it looked knarly. I would be so scared to get a c section. They straight up cut you open, cut open all your tissues & cut open your uterus & then pull your baby out by its head. & use clamps. Like I said it looked knarly. I would suggest to go watch a video of a c section & then go watch a video of a natural birth. To me the natural birth seemed much less painful then the c section but everyone has there own opinions. Just know if you get a c section you most likely will get one again. You have a longer recovery time with a c section, & you stay in the hospital for longer. Some woman can't even walk after a c section. My friend had an emergency c section & she said it was the worst pain she ever felt & the recovery was horrible. Either way your going to be in pain but woman are meant to have babies naturally. You can get through it. You wanted to do it naturally from the beginning go back and look at what you think is best for you an baby!! Good luck!!

I went natural and I didn't tear,,! Having a csection is worst than the pain of a natural birth,, I healed fast after my deliver when I had a natural deliver then when I had a epidural (first baby)// so everybody experience is different.. You have to do your research and use the techniques,, because you can push the wrong way and that can make u rip. So that's why they encouraging practicing

no discomfort after a c section? the person u talked to must be one lucky lady. my first c section was an emergency one and it was so sloppy my scar is horrible, I had close to 35 staples and my stomach muscle will never be the same. I have to have another c section march 9th and I really wanted to do vbac but my doctors say it's not a option for me since my first c section was so sloppy and cut in a weird way. but I was sore for a while after my c section and there's really no way I could have taken care of a new born by myself for the first two weeks. I didn't know doctors even gave u an option for an optional c section. I would much rather do it natural. its a major surgery, apparently a lot of people on here have had good experiences so I pray my second is as good as everyone elses!! good luck girl, u just have to do what's best for you!

I have only had one baby so far, but it was vaginal.  I swore I wouldn't have an epidural until I'd been in labor for about 12 hours. By the time I had to push I felt everything and pushed just fine. I did still tear pretty badly, but the pain from tearing honestly wasn't bad. I didn't feel it happen at all. The stitches stung going in, but that was about it. Of course I had swelling and you have to take care in going to the bathroom and cleaning, but I never had any trouble recovering.  I was able to get up and walk around and pick up my little guy within an hour. You still have to take it easy though. Either way you're going to have a recovery period and it's possible to give birth vaginally without tearing, especially if you don't have the epidural and can move around more easily while in labor. If you have a c section you will definitely have a cut and stitches.

My mother had two vaginal and one c section. She said she wished she could've had all vaginal bc the recovery after the c section was terrible! Also my doctor told me I can have a c section if I want bc i'm terrified of tearing...

Oh yes and after 1 CSection 9-10 you have to have another if you choose to birth again ! That's when the scar tissue builds up and most women are only allow 3 before doctor tells them they are risking there health

I would never willingly have a CSection . I had one and couldn't care for my baby on my own ! That is a major surgery and unfortunately there is many risk to having a CSection ... It can become infected , your stitches can bust . I'm sorry I would take a vaginal birth ANY day over CSection . Sorry as you can tell my experience any very good . Lol wish you the best !

Most people tear more with an epidural because they don't feel when they need to push so the doctor has to tell them which makes it unnatural for your body. C section is a major surgery it entails removing some of your organs then the baby then placing the removed organs back in place. Regardless of the scar or the stitches either way has pain and has issues. There are things you can do before baby to lessen tearing and some women dont even tear. I understand its super scary because you dont know what to expect and im terrified as well but just keep in mind that its paon with a purpose. How often have you hurt yourself doing something dumb that you probably shouldnt have done. Thats pain without a purpose and weve all gotten through that. Ive been around my sisters after their births and c sections and natural has definitely seemed more easy. One of my sisters doesnt have any pain talleranxe at all and she was fine after. Do whats good for you though. Just dont do something you'll come to regret because of fear.

I had a csection 3 weeks ago. I was really sore after for about the next 5 days. Just getting up and down hurt, but after that I was fine. I didn't feel like I even had surgery. My scar has already faded a lot, you can hardly tell I even have one.

I had natural and unfortunately had bad tears even thou I had episiotomy.  But mine was due to.the fact that baby's shoulder was stuck. Yes, pain was unbearable for 3 or so weeks. I had really bad time bonding with bubs too coz I was constantly in pain. But even though it was very horrible im planning to have second bub natural too.  My stiches never opened up. Just have to be very careful. Few of my friends had c section and some struggled to even pick up bubs. They couldn't drive for 5 weeks and one even got infection.
