Negative results?

Hi:)
Im currently 10 days late for my period
And my last period only lasted for four days
But I'm coming up with negative test results
And I was wondering if it was possible that since I came down with bronchitis (I have 2 more days on my z pack n prednisone and 10 more on the inhaler) if me being sick made me skip ?
Last time I was pregnant ( 4 years ago I miscarried) It took 2 1/2 months for a positive result
I'm not having any symptoms except mood swings and I'm starving all the time  (which could be the prednisone)

Am I sick or preggers ??

Thank u guys:) I just don't want our families to know because I know his mom doesn't want grand babies right now and mine made it h311 for me last time I was  so I can't really ask them for help with a drs apt without them being suspucious (if I am they won't know until I start to show) my pelvic areas getting hardish to ... Maybe just bloatIng... Who knows! I'll try again after Xmas:) happy holidays guys

Being sick or stressed can delay your period.

Because your medication may also be responsible and the last time around it took a while to build your hormone levels up, you basically have two choices: wait it out and watch your diet/habits, or call your doctor for blood work. Most doctors seem to order urine anyway before giving you the blood test.

Since money and time off are issues here (totally understand), I would tough it out and wait at least two weeks before trying to see the doc and getting worked up about a possible pregnancy. See if your symptoms clear up or your period comes. Try taking an HPT once a week, first thing in the morning. Skip a second period if you can. In the meantime, if you seriously suspect pregnancy, get some sleep, drink lots of water, take a good prenatal vitamin (it won't hurt either way), stop drinking/smoking/insert bad habit here, and ease up on the coffee, tea and sweets.

Problem is that I just dropped my whole paycheck on my drs appointment and medication and I only have 10 hours this week from me being to sick to work and my husbands check goes mostly towards rent bills utilities cars ect

Impossible to say. As you've stated, both your symptoms can be caused from the prednisone. If testing properly, you should be able to come up with an accurate test result fairly soon. Get a First Response and test with first morning urine. If this too comes up negative, make an appointment with your doctor and request a beta blood test. If your level is under 5, you know you're not pregnant.
