OT: First Period after Giving Birth?

I know this is kinda off topic and probably not the right place to post, but I'm sure some of you mommies out there could give advice/opinions! :)
I had my daughter on June 23, she will be a month next Thursday. I didn't have much bleeding post delivery. The bleeding was done about 5 or 6 days afterwards. I still have the discharge stuff and it's occasionally light brown. But today I started getting heavier pink and brown discharge. I have also been getting some pain in my ovaries or surrounding area. Occasionally I also getting a pulsating pain in my lower abdomin up to the belly button area. I was wondering if this is my period starting or if it could be the first ovulation since giving birth? I'm not too sure what to make of it, I have also had less of an appetite today. Any opinions would be splendid! :)
Hope all are well!

Yeah, some women are just different! It's hard to know what's going on and it's so confusing. I know I'll be wondering these same things once I give birth even though I've been through it before!

I'm not breastfeeding, I am bottle feeding with formula.
I haven't had actual blood since 7 days after giving birth. I have continued having discharge, but no blood. I guess I will find out eventually. It is still pink and brown at times, no actual red blood. But thank you!! :)
With my son I got my period at 4.5 weeks after birth. So who knows this time around! lol

Are you breastfeeding? That can make a difference.

Most women don't get that first period until baby is at least 3 months or older.

A menstrual cycle is defined as having at least 20 consecutive days of no bleeding before you begin bleeding again. So if it has been at least 20 days since your last bleed it could mean a period is coming or even ovulation.
