Thank you, ill say to midwife tomorrow and see what she says, its just 4 or a5 that have been quite large so i wasn't sure. Not sure how the c section was, i was pretty out of it and so worried about baby to ask etc. I wasn't told anything about after care other than clean my wound daily x
i had a TON of blood clots with my son.. make sure you're massaging your uterus every so often and that REALLY helps..i bled 6 weeks straight because my first hospital didnt tell me to do that, and only 1 week with my 2nd c-section doing that.. he said that helps significantly with bleeding after. also it can depend on how well you were "vacuumed" out after your c-section.. i think my first doctor said I could expect up to one week of clots. as long as they werent consistently larger than a golf ball.. but def. check with your doctor
I kniow, I've taken photos (grossI know) of them so that I can show midwife when she comes back tomorrow morning to check on the wee man, part of my wound is still open (she removed my staples yesterday) so going to get her to check that too x
I'm trying to remember how big a 50p piece is... It's been forever since I've been to the UK.. I think that's relatively tiny. I'd call your doctor (whoever gave you your prenatal care) and ask what they say about it. I didn't have a c-section so I don't know if there's differences between what is normal.
They said the size of a 50p piece so I haven't been worrying about them really until that one tonight, cause it was quite long, not sure how you would measure it x
Did the doctor tell you what was acceptable before you were discharged? They have different things they tell women... Like my doctor said anything under the size of a grapefruit was fine, but anything bigger needed checked out.
