Period after miscarriage

Hi. Just a question...........My husband and I have been TTC for over 2 years. In January we found out that we were pregnant but then miscarriaged shortly after. I found out on January 31st, that my HCG level was back to 0. But I have yet to start my period yet. I have a very normal 28 day period, so I understand that it may be coming next week although I think my level dropped before that. BUT for the last 2 weeks I have been feeling crappy (not period cramps, just more achy) and my boobs have been sore. Is this normal? (This is not a normal feelings for me prior to my period so I am just wondering what is going on.)

I had an natural  miscarriage on the 28 of Jan, When they checked my levels on the 1 of Feb.they had went down to 2 so the doc said that every thing was going good.Last week I felt like my period was coming, which that is how I know bc I haven't had an regular period in years, on the 23 of Feb. I whipped & i had brownish blood their & that is pretty much all I've have had so far. I never miss me period, I thought I was pregnant again so of course I was concerned entil I read your post & realized it is common for this to happen. If i don't have an cycle before the end of the mth I'm thinking about testing. Keep the faith, everthing will work out fine, only if you believe.

you could very well be preggers!!!  But... sorry this is a big butt lol, mc can REALLY mess up you cycles for a while.  I mc naturaly at the end of dec and have yet to have a period and have several neg hpt.  The most I have had since my mc is some light spotting the end of jan.  When I asked my doc about it he said the same thing as sadiesmommy said it can take 4-8 weeks sometimes even longer to get a "normal" af after a mc.  I wish you the best of luck!!!  hang it there : )

I'm real sorry about your Miscarriage....
Sometimes it takes a while for you to get your Period after...your body just went through a very traumatizing thing...so it could take some time for you to get your first Period. I had my M/C Nov 23rd and didn't get my first Period until 32 days later. And than my second one came 40 days later. You body is just prolly trying to get back on track.

But like mommywa said, its possible you Ovulated at the end of January or early Feb and you are Pregnant again now. If you don't get your Period in another week or so I would definitely take a test or see your doctor.

Good Luck!

I hope you are pregnant. I too had a miscarriage at the end of November and prior to my first period afterwards I thought I was pregnant, all my symptoms seemed to be amplified. You didn't mention if yours was natural, I had to have a d&c - either way it really is  quite the shock to your system as I am figuring out. I just got what I believe is my second period (42 days later, normally have a 28 day cycle) and it is just weird. It started then stopped then slowly started again - it was brown now bright pink and to top it all off my nipples still feel as if they are on fire if I don't wear a bra (sorry if tmi), I am still exhausted and bloated ect..., Just wanted to let you know you came to the right place the women on here are great, helpful and supportive. It takes 4-8 weeks for your period to return after a miscarriage and some unfortunately end up waiting even longer.

You could be coming upon AF, but I also wonder if there is a chance you may be pregnant again.
If AF doesn't show up soon, I would test, test, test.
I am hopeful for you, because your levels went quickly back to zero.
Good Luck, and keep us posted.
