Please if anyone knows what this is.......

As some of you know I am 36.4 weeks pregnant and I have been having a lot of contractions and pain for the last few days.... just a few minuets ago I was getting up out of my chair to turn down my AC and got this terrible shooting pain through my bum and vagina... while all this was happening I began having a strong contraction........ I am not leaking fluid and didnt have a big gush... What is this because I keep having spurts of smaller pains... Thanks.

My Dr said that shooting pain is round ligament pain and isn't anything to worry about. I was having that shooting electric like pain at 6 wks.  It sucked.

I agree with kennedydp! It's nothing worrisome but it definitely hurts and is annoying!!!

i honestly think that kind of shooting pain could just be from all the pressure from the baby.  (although i've never experienced labor!)  i'm saying that b/c my doc actually told me that sharp or shooting pains like that he's not worried about...  don't you love it when they say that?!?!
