Please read this post. (Miscarrage)

Got the call from my doctor today, i recieved the news that i had a miscarrage. Me and my Boyfriend and our families are taking it pretty hard. Our plan is to let us all heal from this loss and once we are back on our feet and emotionally stable we will try for another baby.

Question:
*How Long after a miscarrage is it safe for a womens body to try and concieve again?

Im sorry for your loss. I had an MC in april and to my calculations I concieved again within the same week as my MC! The nurses will say wait untill at least your first period to try again, The pill doesnt work for 21 days after any loss of a baby or birth and my partner is allergic to Condoms even NON Latex which is weird haha.
If your last pregnancy ended in a Miscarrige doesnt mean your next one will. 1 in 5 pregnancies end in a Miscarrige. But if you have 3 or more in a row you are sent for an Investigation as to why this is happening.
You can concieve again straight away as you're most fertile after a Miscarrige, Termination and Birth, and the only form of contraception that works for 21 days is a Condom.
I am sorry for your loss, and I wish you all the best for the future, Lots of sticky baby dust.

Good Luck

xx

"After I lost my first baby at 11 weeks I wanted to try again right away but my OB told me that the m/c rate would increase 50% if we didnt wait a few cycles to let my body heal. We listened and didnt start trying again until a few cycles later and were surprised to get another BFP so soon. Sadly though that pregnancy also ended in m/c at 5-6 weeks along"

I NEVER heard of a 50% increase rate of MC if you don't wait. I always was told that the chances of M/c is 1/5 and the next one is STILL 20%. My Dr said that generally like  LosingMyMindInGA said, that most woman have 1-2 m/c. He said that alot of the time your body fights to fix the issue the next time and keeps trying to fix it until it is right. So that most people concieve on their 2nd or 3nd pregnancy. But I don't belive theres any more chance of MC after you have one.

My nephew was born and his mom MC and fell pregnant right away. I MC in January and fell pregnant in April.

If you really feel concerned then wait a cycle or 2. But i highly doubt your chances of miscarring are any lower if you do fall pregnant again right away.

Many women conceive immediately or within a couple of months after a miscarraige.  After my last miscarriage (which was natural-no d & c) I became pregnant 3 months later.

Keep in mind (and I know this doesn't make it any better) that the average healthy woman with no fertility problems will experience 1-2 miscarriages in her reproductive lifetime.  Unfortunately there's no way to prevent them or know for certain if they will or will not happen again.

Unless there is an underlying cause for the miscarriages that is not known at this point then you are very likely to have a healthy full term pregnancy next time.  Doctors won't normally do any tests to determine the cuase of miscarriages until a woman has had 3 or more.  some doctors require a woman to have 3 consecutive.

When you do become pregnant again you will be scared and apprehensive but once you pass the first trimester it will be a little easier to relax.  I wish you the best of luck and you and your BF will know when the time is right to try again.

it is usally safe to get pregnant again right away (as soon as you stop bleeding if you are bleeding) I had a MC at 12 weeks, then decided to go on birth control to wait a while. I never got my period took a test and was pregnant again despite the BC, they watched me carefully and i had a beatiful healthy baby (I was reall nervous for a while though) hope things go better for you the next time , I know how hard it can be! oh and by the way my Dr told me women are actually more fertile for the first 3 or so months after a MC, so thats probably why I got pregnant despite the BC.

I had miscarriage and found out 6 weeks later that I was pregnant again. I was worried that getting pregnant again so soon would cause me to have a higher miscarriage rate but what my doctor told me is that most miscarriages are from chromosome problems which are caused by the sperm or egg missing or having a mutated chromosome and that they only advise you to wait so that they can date the pregnancy more accurately.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a baby at any point in pregnancy. After I lost my first baby at 11 weeks I wanted to try again right away but my OB told me that the m/c rate would increase 50% if we didnt wait a few cycles to let my body heal. We listened and didnt start trying again until a few cycles later and were surprised to get another BFP so soon. Sadly though that pregnancy also ended in m/c at 5-6 weeks along. If I could go back I would have waited a lot longer for my body to heal. The only advise I can give is to wait until you feel ready again. But make sure you give the proper time to grieve the baby that you lost. Sorry again to hear about your m/c. I'm here if you need someone to talk to. Good luck and take care.

Normally they say about 3 months.  It gives time for your uterus to heal and also allows you to establish a regular period again.  So so sorry for you loss.

You can conceive immediately if that's something you prefer. It's best and normally said to wait a cycle or two, just for dating purposes, to let your uterus rebuild it's lining and and emotionally. It's said that women are most fertile following a miscarriage, and there are quite a few ladies on this board who got pregnant right after a miscarriage and had healthy babies or will.
