Possible risk- Use of steroid before conception

Hi ,
Need help.. We are thinking about having baby..I have also started taking folic acids prescribed by my GP. Also,I am going to get laser surgery done to correct my eye vision before I get pregnant.But I have been told that they will put me in steroids fter the surgery for 3-5 weeks .Now I am concerned if I use steroids and around the same time if I fall pregnant ,what are the risks involve...How long is safe to use steroids before conception??

My sis-in-law had steroids in her asthma inhalers and she is about to have her third baby. All of her kids are perfectly healthy.

If you are concerned about any risks, speak with the optomologist (spelling?) about what they know. If they know nothing, speak with your OBGYN. Your best bet, if you're worried, is to wait until after your surgery and steroid treatment to get pregnant.

I have to take large amts of steroids daily during all my pregnancies and life. My babies turn out just fine. Shouldn't be any harm to them at all.
