Rolling over

I was wondering, how old were you babies when they started rolling over on a regular basis?  Cole is 5 months old and has only done it 3 times, which was the other day, he rolled from his back to his tummy and back to his back, then on to his belly again, but he wont do it again.

she could roll from her stomach to her back around 8 weeks and she figured out how to go from her back to her stomach at 3 months. i heard her fussing and looked in her crib and she was on her stomach, even though i had put her on her back. now she rolls constantly. if i lay her on her back she'll roll, or vise versa. she tends to make herself mad doing it cause her toys disappear haha. but yep every baby is different and since he has that spasm i wouldn't worry at all.
also i think they start to sit up around 6 months on average. ariana is really close to sitting up. she leans forward in her boucy to get her toys cause they dangle at her feet. that was the picture i texted you.

My son was rolling tummy to back at 6 weeks, 3 months both ways, crawling at 5 months and walking at 9.

Jaxson was about 3.5 months when he could roll over, but every baby is different. Jaxson was crawling at 7.5 months, and walking at 10 months. I wouldn't worry! I am sure Cole is absolutely fine! =)

Hmmm...maybe wait a while after he's ate, maybe give it at least an hour...It could just be from pressure on his tummy.

Oh, and Elijah was crawling, well on his belly at 5 months...by 7 months he was on his hands and knees, and was also pulling up to stand and walking around holding things at 6/7 months...I agree with Limonada...some babies just want to go go go, Elijah did.

Gil rolled from his stomach to back first, which I think is the "easiest" way, and he did that at about 2.5 to 3 months.  He didn't start rolling in both directions until he was about 5 months.  He's 8 months and is almost crawling, but hasn't figured out how to go forward yet (he gets up on his knees and rocks around or goes backward, lol).  Daniel, my older son, did these things sooner.  Like someone else said, each baby is different.  Gil is the kind of baby who is content to be in one place and play, but some babies want to go, go, go all of the time....I think those are the ones that usually hit the "physical" milestones quicker.

Elijah was rolling both ways at three months, and started tummy to back at 2 1/2 almost three months.

I think every baby is different, and you shouldn't worry. Cole sounds like he's doing good. Just give him plenty of tummy time, and he'll get there. You can try sitting him down like he would when he's sitting in front of you on the floor and holding his hands and trying to get him to sit up, it will take a while, but he has to strengthen his muscles.

My sister had twins - Aliyah started rolling over at 2.5 months (she was the bigger twin) and Aiden didn't start until a month later or so. By 4.5 months they were professional rollers! LOL! :)

Every baby is different though. If you are concerned, try giving Cole more time on his belly to build upper strength and use toys as incentive to move. Hope that helps! :)

Cole too accidently rolled over at like 3 weeks cause he was so mad. lol..  but thats what I did the other day, I laid him on the floor, and laid a crossed the room from him and kept saying "come see momma" and i was being very encouraging. and he did it 3 times to get to me. but then I tried doing the same thing again, but he wont do it.  I dont want him to be behind. lol.. when i put him on his tummy, he lifts his butt in the air like hes getting ready to crawl so he might start doing that early to make up for not rolling over lol..

He still doesnt sit up by himself either. is that bad?

Franky rolled over for the first time by accident at 8 weeks and did it a few more times by accident.  Last week at 11 weeks he started rolling everywhere!  My mom said I was the same rolled at 2 months old and skipped crawling all together and walked at 9 months...lol.  But, my niece is 10 months old she didn't roll over at all until 6 months and just started crawling.  Every baby is different =)
