Sex of the Baby

Morning All

I'm really new at all this as this is my FIRST pregnancy... I just want to know how far into your pregnancy will you be able to know the sex of your baby??

They might do it for you today, but it could be wrong. my friend had her scan 'early' at like 17 weeks and they told her it was a boy. she went back for another scan around 23 weeks and its actually a girl!! but i dont think that happens very often. lol. i hope you get to find out today!! good luck!

Yep, you should be able to find out the sex of the baby at your scan today. I found out that we are having a beautiful girl at my 16 week scan. I go tomorrow for a 20 week scan and we are hoping to confirm these girly parts! :)

If you have a scan today you can ask them to see if they can get the right angle to tell you the sex, the genitals are developed enough at 17 weeks.
But yes, usually most women have a scan at 20 weeks to tell but thats only because it's a routine scan :)

Reason im asking is im now about 17 and half weeks and have a scan today and i really really wanna know the sex of my baby!!

Typically you find out sometime around the 20 week scan. It's possible to see it around 15+ weeks as well, but it depends on when your scan is set for and how many your insurance will cover. I personally found out when I was 20 weeks.
