Someone please read && help me. Im freaking out.,

So, on May 13th, 2010, I got the birth control depo provera. wich is the shot. && apparently, it's effective with in 24 hours. My doctor told me 2 weeks but planned parenthood said 24 hours && also a sight on the internet said 24 hours. I've been on the shot for 17 days now. On Friday, May 28th 2010, me && my boyfriend had sex. He is really inexperienced, so he didn't know what to do. This is going to just come out blunt because i dont know any other way to put it. I told him to pull out before he came, even though im on birth control && he had a condom.. I figured that would be an okay way to be extra safe, haaha. I guess the condom was too big for him. When he pulled out, it ended up coming off && was still inside me. But I'm thinkin he came before he got all the way out. Actually, I'm pretty sure of it. But i've been thinking. The condom was inside me, so would any of the semen go up? i pulled it out & through it away. Then put my cloths back on. But then i went pee & wiped. I've been freaking out. Is there any way i could get pregnant, even though i'm on birth control and the condom was in me still. I'm thinkin maybe the condom might have blocked it. Maybe. I don't know. I know it hasnt been that long since i've been on birth control, but like i said, planned parenthood said it took 24 hours for my depo shot to become effective, and my doctor told me 2 weeks. It had been two weeks when this happened. What are the chances, or am i safe? Thanks for you're help.

I think you are safe.  Some condoms even have a spermicidal on them which kills the sperm if they were to escape.  Beings you just got your shot I am pretty sure you are safe.  Wearing a condom was a very smart idea though as well esp if you don't want kids right now.  Try to relax I am sure you will be fine.  Is this your first shot?  If it is don't be too freaked out by some of the side effects.  You can have bleeding at weird times or no period for a little.  It's just the hormones in the shot.  Good luck.

Hey! I think that you are definitely safe. There is always that small chance that any birth control can fail, but you used so many different methods that the chance is around 1-2% and because it was after the 2 week mark that your doctor recommended (btw any doctor will tell you when you start a new birth control to use back up protection for the first 2 weeks or so just to have the full advantage) you are more than protected. I understand that your bf is inexperienced but you might want to have a talk with him about the condom size and how important safe sex is to you! Guys are just clueless sometimes! Good luck honey!
