Spotting and mucas?

Hello, this is my wife's and mine 2nd child. She spotted once or twice with our first but now she has spotted 3 or 4 times and said that she thinks she also has some mucas coming out also.
The Dr said with no cramps and since the spotting is light nothing to really worry about. Also had an ultrasound done on Monday and everything looked good.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else because my wife is starting to get very worried, but I am staying calm and taking the Dr's word for it.
My wife is in her 12th week and this started just a week or two ago.

It is normal for some women to spot at different times in their pregnancy..... If there are no cramps and the bleeding is not bright red (even if it is it doesnt always mean the worst) and the dr says no worries then i would let her know that she and baby are probably fine... I would definitely call the dr if anything changes with the the color of the flow or the heaviness and definitely if there is any cramping or pain.....

There are so many different things that can occur in a pregnancy and every one is different, for her sanity just tell her to *try not to worry* if the dr is not worrying! Good Luck and i hope all is well!
