Stomach tender to touch

I worked a 10 hour shift last night at the bar and by the end I could barely walk. My back was in a lot of pain. At one point I felt like I was going to pass out. I woke up a few times from the pain in my back and also a tightening feeling in my stomach. Now my stomach is tender to the touch.

I'm wondering if the tightening in my stomach was Braxton hicks. My back is still a little soar.

I only work the bar Friday and Saturday nights usuay scheduled 9 hours which is becoming hard to do. I got called in an hour early sat night. :(

My back is deffinatly feeling better. But I'm still having pains in my stomach I worked at the hotel last night and I sit most the shift. After setting up breakfast I started having pain again. When I went to bed I was having a sharp pain on my right lower side along my hip bone and in the middle of my stomach on right side I figured it was round ligament pain but I wasn't moving which usually causes round ligament pain from moving the wrong way and things stretching.

Now I'm doing ok though. I'm gonna bring it up to my Dr and let him know on Thur. I have today and tomorrow off so I'm just gonna relax even though there is so much house work that needs to be done.

wow lady....10 hour shifts!!! i give you props....especially being on your feet....my advice would be to relax when you can and get off those feet....give your body a chance to rest....im off my feet as much as possible and it helps to relieve my back pain....i cant be on my feet longer then a few hours and then i need to be off them the rest of the day...

oh and my belly is super tender at the belly button area...especially when she is positioned right by it...your tenderness could have something to do with the baby's position

i hope you are feeling better today

Well you know drinking too much and holding your bladder can cause tummy soreness and feelings of contractions too! It's such an irritating balance between keeping hydrated and making sure to keep your bladder empty, lol. I really hope your tummy feels better tomorrow. sciatic pain is exactly what I'm feeling every time I try to stand up because he's nestled so far down into my pelvis now...I can relate to that, too :(. keep your feet up girl and feel better, you've got awhile to bake <3.

I'm 26wks.

I took it easy for most the day. I haven't felt the tightening in my stomach but my back is still hurting. I see my Dr on Thursday and will be discussing this with him. I did drink about 6-7 glasses of water while at work last night. Even though we were so busy I had people waiting over 20minutes for there drinks I still stopped and made sure I was drinking my water.

I've been seeing my chiropractor regularly my hips like to go out and it's worse now. This back pain was different than the usually siatica pain I get when my hip is out.

My belly is still tender to touch in one spot I'll just keep an eye on it and if it's not better by tomorrow I'll call my Dr.

hey girl I'm 33wks now and I've been on my feet cleaning our apartment and moving boxes since 9 this morning...it's now 10PM and I literally just sat down in bed for the first time today (I did sit a little while packing but not as much as I should have) because my daughter conked out so someone had to stay at the new house with her and someone had to go to the old apartment and continue getting stuff...obviously hubby lost out on that one lol. Anyway...I can relate exactly to what you're feeling. I was having contractions on and off today which is when I made myself sit down, and every so often I would get a tight pain in my back which was another signal to sit. right now my belly is so sore I can barely stand the feeling of my underwear (tmi??) pushing on it....I definitely know that if I start noticing the pains coming and going I'm going to call my doctor. they were very arbitrary today and I KNOW I was overdoing it, so now that I'm in bed they should subside...and that's the same advice I would give to you. if they don't subside once you're relaxing, it's time to call the doctor just to be on the safe side.

hope this helps some...try putting your feet up and see if everything feels better. I'm gonna grab myself a coke (i know, bad, but I NEED one, LOL) and some popcorn and take my own advice.

it definitely sounds like it could be braxton hicks or actual contractions, and they can make your stomach hurt or feel uncomfortable the next day. i have been having some tightening in my stomach the past few days too! sinc ewe live in the same area and have are due dates only a week apart maybe it has something to do with the weather as well! i know that in high elevation a storm front can cause women to go into labor, we are'nt high elevation, but same principle. it could definitely be because of the long hours and the weight of your stomach getting bigger as well, it could be from ligaments pulling, since you are growing! good luck and hope it gets better, if you see your Dr soon make sure to tell him about it!

How far along are you? You didnt say in your post. But my advice is if this is the way your body is handling work, then i would maybe scale back on the hours a bit. Back pain can signal the onset of labor and the tightening can be braxton hicks. The best thing i would say is put your feet up drink lots of water. If the contractions stop they are braxton hicks. But if rest, water and relaxation dont make the tightening and back pain go away, you begin to feel pressure or you just dont feel ok. Maybe you should give your doc a call. Oh and real labor doesnt stop when you move around but braxton hicks tend to. I really hope your feeling better and i hope this helped... oh and when i was prego my tailbone and back would hurt like crazy once my hipbones started to seperate and prepare for childbirth. Woohoo.
