They may have sent that before processing the paperwork. Sign the paper to appeal and you'll get a call real quick to fix the matter. I had to appeal twice and they fixed it immediately
Call them on Monday and see why you were denied. All pregnant women should qualify for Medicaid if they are not otherwise insured. It could just be a technical thing in their system that booted you out.
I hope its just an error, I have my next appt on the 29th then ill have another 2wks later and I really hope I can have this fixed before june.
Where I live, being pregnant you just count as 2 people, are you married? If not, you should be eligible, you are unemployed and are pregnant, so you'd be counting as a 2 person household, and not having an income should definitely make you eligible! Good luck hun, if you'd rather, call someone, and explain to them and ask about it, and don't let up until they help! You have a little while til you deliver, so you should be okay!
when I applied for masshealth, I was about 6 months pregnant. they denied me saying I wasn't pregnant nor had any children. I ended up calling the next business day and ( I was kind of a bit rude lol ) explained how I was pregnant and I had no insurance and needed it for when my baby was born. they said they'd update the system and to call back in 2 weeks. before the two weeks came I got a letter in the mail saying I was approved and got my card !
Give them a call , and don't give up
Go to wic I live in illinois also dupage county to be exact. I went to wic n they were so helpful. I got medical benifits that day n that predated them back to when I got preg. Illinois has allkids which because ur preg. Ull have no prob gettin.
I dont know where dupage county is but i live in Massac county. I am currently on WIC and got my medical card thru DHS office. I am going to call them first thing in the morning and see exactly why i was denied, but according to the letter its because i dont have any kids.
Yeah hun like the others have said it sounds like an error. Just do what you have planned and call first thing tomorrow. And don't be afraid to stand up for yourself, a lot of times government agencies will try to screw over young single moms who don't know enough to point out when the agencys screw up. lol
