Stupid yeast infection...

So I can feel a yeast infection comming on and I'm 33 weeks my next appointment is jan 5... Now I really really really hate using conventional pharmaceutical medications but I'll use them if it's bad enough, thankfully it's not yet bad enough for that, if I can't treat it at home by the time my appointment comes around I'll get the same meds I got before but I'd like to avoid it,

last night while washing my hair I remembered that my shampoo has tea tree oil (it's an organic shampoo) and using it helps dramatically with dandruff which is most commonly caused by a fungus on the scalp I've also used tea tree oil for ring worm, also another fungus. While reading about yeast infections I discovered that it's also a fungus!

So being that the shampoo I use for my hair and scalp has the teat tee oil in it I used just the tiniest amount of shampoo to wash my lady parts and it actually helped! I feel about 20% better than I did last night, now the only problem I see is that I'm not about to put shampoo all the way inside to clean out the deeper parts so if it doesn't clear up on it's own I might pick up some pure teatree oil because I was reading online again this morning and I found that in Italy yeast infections are commonly treated with pure teatree oil on a tampon (I'd say be very careful and do your own reading on how to apply this if your going to use it as we all know it's very sensitive down there. )

I just wanted to share this because pregnant ladies like us get those yeast infections all too frequently :(

Can call something in for you instead of you suffering or you could always use the monistat 7-day treatment! I would go ahead and treat it before it gets any worse!

You should be able to call your on-call doc/midwife/nurse and they can call you something

Yeah I know it's just for the application...doctors I have worked with didn't like the toxins that tampons give off, even though it's not going to be worn for hours...if you like yogurt eat that...after using the tri cream I started eating one cup of yogurt everyday to keep it away because I'm real prone to them because of all the bread and milk I take in daily

The tampon is just used as an applicator not a leave in type thing, yes that cream does work wonders however that's the pharmaceutical medication I like to avoid :)

Be careful because you are not suppose to use tampons during pregnancy...if you have a good doctor or midwife, you could just call them and tell them that you have a yeast infection and they can call it in to your pharmacy...TRIAMCINOLONE cream is what I use and it works wonders

I've tried the cranberry juice but that's mostly for urinary tract infections as that is in your kidneys and helps your kidneys process toxins better, yeast infections are fungal caused by an imbalance in vaginal bacteria
