I went Friday and bought the prenatal vitamins. I had a friend that toke these and she said that she started taking them 5 months before she started trying and her doctor told her it helped with getting pregnant. But the pill isn’t to help get pregnant. So how could that had happened? The fertilityfriend.com I have an account but I honestly have NO idea how to use it! I use on a regular basis mymonthlycycles.com. It is easy to use and its self explanatory. I also started keeping track of my temperature in the mornings.
Honestly, laying down and certain positions are just wive's tales. The sperm are good, fast swimmers who will swim toward the goal whether you're lying down or jazzercising. It really doesn't matter.
Anyway, cervical mucous (CM) is a key in fertility. Just like Shell24 said, sperm need CM. It helps them reach the egg and survive the acidic environment of the uterus longer. When you see CM during your cycle, start having sex every other day.
When you see CM that is crystal clear like raw egg whites and it stretches to an inch or more, that means you are ovulating.
A woman is infertile her entire cycle except for a 24 hour period, which is ovulation. The cervix is closed down tight so no sperm can get through. As it begins to soften to allow sperm to the fallopain tubes (where the egg is fertilized), you will notice CM. It can be yellowish, creamy, white, cloudy, sticky, etc. When you ovulate, you produce that clear, stretchy CM I just mentioned. Your goal is to have sex when you see that CM. I got pregnant the first try doing this. NOW... not every single woman gets pregnant that fast, but it is effective.
If you don't notice any CM or very little, you can try something called ovulex which will help you to produce more, thus the sperm survive longer. You may have to research ovulex more as I don't know a whole lot about it at this point, just that other members here have used it.
I just stopped "trying" and really enjoyed good ol' sex and that's how it worked for me...No laying down or anything, but I suggest making sure you're not dry down there, the more wet, the more the sperm have to swim in and be supported by on their way to the little eggie.
I used fertilityfriend too. I tracked everything for a few months while I still had my IUD and got to know my body. I got my IUD removed on Nov. 14th. I believe I ovulated on the 3rd on December. We had sex on the 1,2,3 once I started seeing the mucus we started trying. I am now pregnant! So really think this site has a lot to offer. When you first sign up they let you test the version with all the bells and whistles. I just used that to learn about me and then once the trial was up, I had a pretty good idea of what days were right and what to be looking for. I have a 20 month old and I didn't try with him so this was all new to me this time around.
Keep in mind that it takes the average healthy 25 year old 6 months to get pregnant and at least 85% of american couples concieve within 1 year of going off birth control. I wish you the best. I understand the want to be pregnant - when you want it!
We tried for 9 mo. too. Then I signed up on fertilityfriend.com and tracked my cm and bbt. We also had sex every other day for a month! Is was more a chore than anything else. I ovulated on day 8-9 when I thought I was ovulating midmonth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also it would help to buy ovulation kits!
honestly it will happen when the time is right. me and my ex husband tried for years and we got nothing then when me and the guy i have been with for awhile had sex i got pregnant fast it was weird but dont get stressed just give it time.
Are you taking prenatal vitamins to get your body ready? This would help get your body to a ready state. My Dr. prescribed them with my last baby and I got prego after trying for 6 mos. You could even use the OTC.
