Amy- yeah they do offer a class its called "super saturday" its for 2 saturdays and its from 9-4 I believe but there's no way I'd be able to do that because its hubbys only day off is saturday and I feel like he deserves to rest. I think ill just go and if I don't make it untill the end then its okay as well.
Clysta - yeah I am really pushing for a natural labor but I think I'm experiencing back labor , that's where all my pain is. I am def. Keeping my mind open to all options and if I have to get the epidural then I will.
I appreciate your help and if any ladies wanna share your stories please do. I would love to hear them
I have my birthing class scheduled for just before 33 weeks but mine is a one day class (9 a.m.- 4 p.m.) does the place your going to offer a full day rather then a few hours for 5 weeks straight? That would be a much better option in my opinion.
Do you intend on natural birth, or medicated birth. It sounds like you're planning natural---just make sure you're open to all ideas. I too had planned on natural, but never counted on back labour. If I hadn't gotten the epidural, I'm pretty sure I would have passed out from the pain.
You could check out different classes to see what's offered. You could also look up different things online and/or videos. You could also get different stories from ladies on here.
Clysta thank you, yeah my husband does not want to go at all but he will go because he wants to make me happy. (Which I'm so very thankful to have my husband)
I guess the main reason I want to go is to learn about different labor positions and how to keep my breathing calm so I don't freak myself out
It is a bit late, but you might be able to find specific classes for whatever you're wanting and go to those.
With my first, I had signed up to go and decided against it. They seemed pointless to me at the time, and after having her I don't regret my choice.
