I am originally from northwest Georgia.  I moved to TN a couple of years ago with my husband.  I especially love visiting the Blue Ridge mountains of northeast Georgia, up near Elijay and Hiawassee.  It's beautiful!  Macon is the furthest south I've ever been.  My husband and I would like to visit south Georgia and see some of the old plantations and things.

Fortunately I'm about 2 hours se of Atlanta.  I've only been through the airport in atlanta...if that's any indication of the city itself...NO THANKS.  Macon is the closest "big" city to me and I'm still about 35-35 minutes from there.
