At the hospital scared to death started bleeding and cramping really bad. I hate being by myself. I wish my husband was with me it would make this so much easier. I just hope the twins will be ok.

it is so nice to hear i am not alone....

brandiw13 you gave some great advice and i will def be in touch....i am so overwhelmed trying to figure out how i will "make it work"....im sure i will figure a way but its not the same until the day is here

i constantly worry about carrying 2 babies because im such a high risk carrying one....i actually asked my doc if i was able to carry 2 and he said "we're going to find out"....umm, not too reassuring there but i live everyday on hopes and before i go to sleep at night i silently say a thank you for making it through another day

after this week i will be out of the first trimester and thankfully so far things have been going great....i have my next u/s on thrusday

I have 6 month old twins (boy & girl). I don't really have any advice per say, but it's definitely an adventure! My pregnancy was absolutely by the book. Didn't go on bed rest or anything. I was scheduled to have a c-section at 38 weeks, but went into unexpected labor at 32 weeks & delivered them Christmas Eve. Both babies are perfectly healthy. They spent 2-3 weeks at the NICU learning how to feed on their own & now you couldn't tell they were preemies.

You also have to get in the mind track of "buy at least two of everything". I still have issues with that sometimes! I have tons of bottles, diapers, the usual stuff.

My biggest fear was them crying at the same time and not knowing what to do after my hubby went back to work. Amazingly, you find a way to make it work. They were fairly easy as newborns (they were on a strict feeding schedule and otherwise slept all the time). Now, as 6 month olds, they can be challenging. They're both teething, both cry a LOT at the same time, and each have certain likes & dislikes. And they have zero problems letting me know what makes them mad. Because they were preemies, they lag a little behind as far as development, but they're great. Both are rolling over & I have to watch them closely because I can lay one on a play mat and come back 2 seconds later & he or she is half way across the floor from rolling or scooting.

If you ever want to talk or anything, feel free to message me! I may not have the greatest advice, but I know exactly what you're going through! Good luck!

I do to and yes they are in seperate sacs. I am scared about labor and delivery and them crying at the same time or something happening to the right after delivery because my first pregnancy after going thru labor and delivery i lost my daughter shortly after birth and they never could tell me why we lost her. And these babies are not my husbands they are from being raped so I really dont know what to do trying not to freak out or break down but it is so hard not to right now.

i am also having twins and scared....i already have a 7 year old and a 10 month old so my hands will be more than full when the babies arrive.....

did they say if you are having identical or fraternal twins? how far along are you?

since i found out i was having twins i have been googling a lot of information because i never thought in my life that i would be having twins....i have found a bunch of sights that offer twin-specific stuff that i will prob buy to help feed them at the same time

also it helps to make friends with other twin mommies to hear them share their stories....there are other forums on the web that have more twin moms who love to share their stories

im currently 11 weeks with identical twins....they say the twins are in seperate sacs and sharing a placenta.....i get to see my babies on thurs again for my NT scan and check on them

Congrats and welcome to the twin mommy club
