Ugg....and it begins...

So I slept like crud last night, couldnt get comfy, everything ached, kept feeling like I had diarrhea only I never did anything.  Woke up this morning feeling cold, went in the kitchen to get a drink, burped and promptly threw up everything I had eaten from lunch time yesterday.  Boy did it hurt.  I heaved so hard I kept peeing myself but all i could do was stand there and heave.  Fortunately DH was off of work and took the kids to school.  I finally checked my temp and it was 99 something.  I also started having pretty moderate contractions that made my back hurt before I even sat up in bed.  I called my doc at 830 when they opened and they had me come in at 130.  He checked and my cervix hasn't changed, still closed and all so that's good.  But becuase I'm feeling these contx in my back plus feeling some pressure around my cervix they did an NST to check it out.  He said they are just braxton hicks, I'm just one of the lucky ones who's been  preg so many times that it's more intense for me.  My temp has been going up and down to 100.4.  Doc gave me a z-pack, something for nausea and told me to get some milk of magnesia for the contractions.  He said it's pretty much like the magnesium sulfate shot they give you for preterm labor only not as potent.

This little girl must be getting irritated by all the contractions becuase she has been moving up a storm today.  She rarely moves much during the day but she's been going to town today.  I'm just glad DH was off today and has taken over caring for DS1.  EVERYTHING hurts, all my muscles, all my joints, my lower back is killing me, I'm sooo tired but can't get comfy enough to fall asleep.  I haven't eaten becuase I'm afraid I"m gonna puke again.  So I'm set up on the couch just chilling for the afternoon.  I hope this isn't the start of a rough end to this pregnancy.

I just wish Gabe's nap time would hurry up and get here so I can take one too.  I feel like I haven't slept in days.

Fortunately I'm feeling a little better this morning.  Still have a bit of a headache and some achiness, but nothing like yesterday.  No temp. or contrx this morning either.  I slept a little better but not great so I'm still pretty tired.  I really wanted to go on DS5's field trip today but told him I really need to just stay home and take it easy and that once I feel better i'll take him to the strawberry farm and we'll pick some strawberries together.

Well after getting home from the docs this afternoon I pretty much just lounged around.  The contractions subsided and I was feeling a little bit better.  Stil running a temp though.  Then just before 7 I started having theses strange waves of intense pain in my upper back between my shoulder blades.  My mom said it could be a sign of a heart problem, so off we went to L & D.  I thought I was having contractions again as well but the machine didn't register any, I think she's just pressing her feet against my cervix really hard now, becuase my uterus isn't tightening.  They monitored my BP, and pulse and the babys heartrate.  At first mine and babys HR were a little elevated but they said most likely it was becuase I was still running a fever.  After monitoring me like that for awhile, they checked my cervix again, still closed.  So they called my ob who said to take tylenol, go home to bed and take it easy and see what happens.  I told DH if I drop dead of a heart attack, sue the hospital LOL.

I haven't eaten anything today, just had some sprite, water and 2 popsicles so DH ran to the store to get me some muffins and some apple sauce, we'll see how i do with that.  Hopefuly tomorrow I'll feel better.

The funny thing is I only threw up the once, I wasn't nauseated until AFTER i threw up.  I also can't believe that NONE of the food I had eaten had digested at all.

I'm starting to feel a little better now, still achy and low grade fever but the contractions have subsided for the most part.  That milk of magnesia is NASTY Lol!  Right now I'm just waitin for the pharmacy to deliver my antibiotic.

I am so sorry! =(   I hope you start to feel better soon, or at least get comfortable enough to take a much needed nap. When I was pregnant with Jaxson, I threw up almost everyday for the first and third trimesters, so I kind-of feel your pain. I went into pre-term labor and had contractions around 29 weeks and it was AWFUL, I hope you feel better real soon. Sending good thoughts, and hopes for a comfortable nap your way!

Oh I am sorry that you are having such a hard time! I swear girls just like to give their mommy's hard times... I know how you feel about throwing up and loosing all of the water in your body and it is so awful that your joints and muscles hurt because you've thrown up so much!  I hope that your little girl gives you a break... I hope that you feel better soon =)
