I am 32 weeks, and have only gained 26lbs... I have no clue how big my baby is, but from watching her in my belly moving, I would say she is a fairly good size now lol.
The doc said I could end up with a large baby but definately did not. I gained 56 lbs and my baby was 6 lbs 5 oz.
I lost over 40lbs within my first trimester.
Only now am I slowly gaining some of it back, and my baby is perfectly healthy.
The doc says he can't really tell how much I've gained from baby or from just pregnancy fat cuz I gain and lose all the time.
Whatever I gain from baby, I lose in my thighs or whatever. So my gain is very slow.
He estimated about 4lbs from baby so far though and I'm 21weeks today.
Everyone is different.
Everyone's body reacts differently to pregnancy.
Women can lose pounds and pounds and never gain one pound back and deliver perfectly healthy 7lb babies.
Some women gain 50+lbs and only deliver a 8lb baby.
Some women don't gain more than 10lbs and it's all just the baby and nothing else.
I wouldn't worry, as long as your belly is poking a lil bit and your can feel your lil one moving around and the doc doesn't seem to be worried, you'll be fine.
Thank you ladies!! I wish I could get another u/s for reassurance.........
I've only gained 7lbs at 24 weeks and the baby measures fine.
With my daughter I gained 70bs or so, she was overdue and weighed 7lbs 8oz. I was in the hospital last night with this one and he is already measuring 6lbs 6oz and i have 5 weeks to go, i do have gestational diabetes so that may be why he is big. I have only gained 3lbs so far.
Well, I gained 42pounds with my son and he only weighted 5pounds 13oz. I dont think how much you gained will eff. the baby. If you are eating good then your baby will get what he needs......

With my first, I gained around 80 lbs... not to mention the doctors fault for telling me to keep eating that my son was going to be underweight.... well he was 8 lbs 0 oz and 21 inches long. With my second, I lost around 25 lbs which they said was fine for my height and weight all I gained back was actual baby weight, placenta, and fluids. So I ended up losing 25 lbs with her and she was 8 lbs 5 oz and 20.5 inches long. I hope that baby three is as easy as my daughter was. GL. I don't think the amt of weight you gain will hurt the baby, they will just take from you what they need. HTH hugs! :o)
