When do you detect fetal movement?

When is the average time to start feeling the baby move? I've just reached 17 weeks, and people keep asking me if I've been feeling the baby move, but I haven't :( I also haven't gained any weight yet, and you can't really tell that I'm pregnant at all. From the beginning, my pregnancy has been pretty symptom-free, but should I be able to feel the baby moving at this point? Thanks :)

First pregnancy and I felt movement at about 17 weeks, but then it'd be a few days between feeling anything, so I'd wonder if I'd imagined it :)

i felt in 18th with my 1st n from 15th in 2nd not very often

I asked the same question,.. If this is your first movement is usually later.. You would apprently normally feel proper movement around 18- 22 weeks... and See the babys foot about 22 - 24 weeks.....

That depends...First pregnancies are usually farther along when you start feeling movement. Closer to 20 weeks I believe. You may have felt baby move, but could have confused it with gas bubbles, as it feels pretty much the same.

I'm on baby #5 and I have felt baby move since about 10 weeks. It wasn't very often, and at 19 weeks it still isn't very often.
