i never switched between breast and bottle so i don't know much about nipple confusion. my 3 dds were bottle fed and my ds is breastfed. the bottles we used for all 3 of our dds were the playtex drop-ins. we loved them and not one of them had problems w/ gas! :)
I breast & bottle feed & i use Dr. Brown's bottles. My ds has no problem going from one to the other. I'm posting a link to the kind I use. I hope this is helpful.

I've used Avent and Born Free (BPA free); the born free ones leak...
The bottles with the drop in liners are good for nursing babies an much cheaper than the dr browns bottles. I would change their bottles around 6 months though to a different kind. I have seen it so many times before when I worked in day care... if you don't change the bottles around 6 months and you keep one using them... the child will have a hard time learning to use a sippy cup. They don't have to hold the bottles with the liners up so it can be confusing for them when you give them a cup. the dr brown's are good but not cheap. I'm going to use playtex drop ins then change him to playtex ventair. I never liked those little fat bottles... they are not as comfortable to hold. ( I have used them all.) Anita
I breast and bottlefeed my son and I first starting out using Dr. Browns bottles and they were great. Then I introduced the playtex drop-ins and he never got confused. I still use both even now. I think sometimes he prefers the playtex nipples better, but he is fine either way.
I love the Adiri bottles. They are a new design, the entire top half is shaped like a breast & is super soft like one too. They are really nice.
Thankkk you! I looked at the Dr.Browns ones and I really like them so I think I'm going to try that starting off! :]
I used "second nature" bottles....they are also supposed to be specifically for babies who are nursed.
