I had an ectopic pregnancy in 2005 and only have one tube now as well. After that I decided not to try to get pregnant I always used condoms. In 2007 not on any Birth Control or trying to get pregnant I got pregnant. I really believe when you really try to get pregnant and want it so bad it doesn't happen and when you are not trying to get pregnant it just happens. Just relax about trying to get pregnant and enjoy all the fun you can have trying to make a baby. It will happen I always thought I wouldn't get pregnant because of my ectopic. Good luck to you and hopefully you'll become pregnant some time soon.
Hi im sorry you are having trouble.firstly having 1 tube does not mean you ovulate only 6 times a year.there is no set side as to which you ovulate, could be any.i had an eptopic in 2006 in my right tube,i still have it but its completely blocked.i can tell you i concieved 2 after this, although miscarried both.currently going through one.so it doesnt mean you wont concieve, granted you may need to keep track of your cycles.its all down to perfect timeing.believe you me took me years to get this way, they told me i would never have more children, unless had ivf,as i said ive had total 3 pregnancys since then.it will happen be patient. :)
I got preg and lot it do to a tubal preg i ended up losing my right tube and right overy. 2 years later i got preg with a healthy boy and now i have been trying again. so is it possible yes but it does take time
my sister in law had one overy removed. few months later she was pregnant and now i have my neice. timing is everything. start xharting your cycles and try , try try. here is a good site on charting, it helped me. mymonthlycycles.com
Thank you very much for your info. I will follow up with GYN doctor ASAP. Thank you!
I would go to a reproductive endocrinologist (RE). 2 years is a long time (but for your case, it's really a year since you only have one tube since when you ovulate on the side with no tube, you can not get PG that month). I had no problem getting PG before. My son took 3 months, my m/c pregnancy took 1 month. We TTC'd after the m/c pregnancy for 10 months before going to a RE. They ran a whole bunch of tests and apparently my uterine lining was not getting thick enough to support a pregnancy. I guess my body changed after the m/c pregnancy (or maybe the D&C had to do with it). So RE prescribed clomid, and I got PG on first round of clomid/IUI. There always lies the risk of multiples with clomid, but it is worth the risk in my opinion. Plus, everybody reacts differently to the med. I had a very good reaction....5 mature follicles (eggs) on IUI day. I am PG with twins. But one of my friends only had 2 mature follicles and she did not get pregnant. Your chances are increased of getting pregnant with more follicles. So in summary, sometimes after a year of TTC, it is worth getting some help. It could be another problem other than your one tube....my husband also had low count which is why we did IUI.
Thank you very much for answering promptly! I thought no one was reading this so late in the day. I thought about talking to a fertility doctor. I just don't want to wind up having many babies. (SMILE)
I had read from a comment a while back that since you only have 1 tube you probably only O 6 times a year... The tubes usually take turns on releasing eggs. So I would get and OPK and start using them and maybe keep track of your BBT.... I would also say you can get pregnant as you were b4. From most of us on this forum no that getting pregnant is not easy... I wish you the best of luck... And keep the faith... ♥
