Will wearing a tampon off and on for week before positive pregnancy test cause a miscarriage??
In October of 2008 my husband and I experienced our first miscarriage at 9 weeks. Baby was not viable. I just found out today that Im pregnant again. A week ago I experienced some spotting off and on and im guessing its implination b/c it was around 7dpo and I had the same with the last pregnancy. Well I thought it was my period b/c Ive been having irregular cycles for the past few months now....so I have been using a regular size tampon off and on for a week thinking i'd start at any moment. Im now concerned that me wearing a tampon for the past week will increase my risk for a miscarriage or growth problems of my growing baby!?!? I am currently not spotting only cramping off and on and not using tampons. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you :0)
dont worry about what you did before you found out hun. it will drive you crazy...you should be fine. i wore one too before i found out because i thought i was gonna start...nope never did and im 23 weeks so no miscarriage here. :) you should be perfectly fine...congratulations!!!!
aww....thank you soooo much! few I really dont wanna stress out or be nervous but its hard after what happened last time. I also have another question I took two pregnancy test (two different brands) yesterday both positive then I took one lastnight when I woke up and I think it was defective it said negative but there was no control on the test, Now i am curious as to am I pregnant??? My husband and I ahve decided to wait until i am 8 weeks to make an appointment with the docotors so this is why i have so many questions. Last time i had like four ultrasounds and it was just a stressful situation I wanna relax as much as i can with this one if I am???
heya!if there was no line in the the control window then the test didnt work so any result would be wrong!if u r still worried u can take another one to be sure but two positives to me sounds like great news!lol!i know how ur feeling tho!me n and my husband were very worried with our 1st and my husband even asked me to take another test a couple of months in to check i was still pregnant!bless him!and with this pregnancy iv taken about 8 tests or more over the past 4 weeks to keep checking as im worried again!lol!i dont have a history of mc just me being silly!good luck and hope everything goes well
So I just took another test and its a bright blue POSITIVE! so excited today. I feel more confident about the results now that I have three +'s. Haha whatever keeps us calm right??? I got like three hours of sleep lastnight contimplating if i was pregnant or not. pretty sad. I have two more tests so within the next four weeks that im waiting to see the doctor im gunna take them...haha. I do chart and my temps. continue to rise so Im feeling good thus far. I have been having af cramps this week but no spotting I spotted the week before (implination) im guessing since it has happend with both pregnancies at the same time. I spotted VERY lighly a couple days ago but none since so....cross my fingers this little one is healthy. thank you again!
yay!the things we put ourselves thru hey?lol!iv had cramps for the past couple of weeks but none of them are worse than period pains so thats all normal and as far as i know spotting is perfectly normal!all sounds good so far so good luck and hope all goes well!lol! x
I dont know what to think right now????I have been cramping on and off but some are just a crampy sensation and i have a couple a day that are a little painful but nothing i need advil for. Lastnight after sorry tmi, but going # 2 hehe....I wiped and noticed like brownish marroon from what i can remember on the toilet paper. It wasnt bright red or clots nothing. After that i fell asleep and nothing more. Today being the day after all i did was spotting a tiny tiny bit on my panty liner. it was a tan color. Im not sure if this is an impending miscarriage or just something like implination??? Kinda concerned but still wanna wait to go to the doctors until i start bleeding red or my 8th week. I figure id be bale to see something then. Last time i was pregnant i had four u/s before 8 weeks b/c it was too early to tell. so i dont wanna go through that emotional rollercoaster all over again. Any adives would be greatly appreciated!!!
i wouldnt have thought it was anything to worry about!brown/tan blood is old blood and it could have just bin dislodged during sex!as long as the cramps arent really painful(No more painful than normal menstrual cramps) then i wouldnt have thought they were anything to worry about either!if the pain gets worse or the blood starts becoming constant, bright red/thick red or clotted then i would go to the dr just to check everything out!i hope its nothing serious!try not to worry to much!i know thats easier said than done but still its best not to!good luck and got my fingers crossed for u!let me know how it goes!
Well had my appointment today they did blood cultures to check for uti and my hcg levels. No uti but my hcg levels were 750 I remember with my last pregnancy which ended in miscarriage in my 9th week at 8 weeks u/s showed a fetus at 6 weeks Mmy hcg levels were 3,000 at this time?!?!? kinda confused. But they are going to see me every 48 hours this week to do blood work and check my hcg level to make sure they are doubling not dropping. If dropping its pretty much a non viable pregnancy if rising they are gunna wait till they rise to 2,000 then am going in for an u/s to see if the pregnancy is progressing. Ugh sooo emotional and trying REALLY hard not to stress, but let me tell you it is VERY hard to do. I just dont wanna go through another miscarriage or d&c. Thank you for all of your support it means tons and is reassuring to get the posts back!!!
you are welcome!although iv never been through it myself, this being my 2nd pregnancy i know full well how worried we can get and i know how i would feel if iv ever had to go through any of that!obviously not to the full extent but i know it would destroy me!is there any chance ur not as far gone as u thought!that could be a reason for the slightly lower hcg count then b4!also every hcg count is different with each pregnancy so it could just be that its climbing slower for a perfectly normal reason!i wish u all the luck and pray they continue to rise!still keep me updated!id like to know how everything goes!take care and speak soon! x
aww...thanx! Im pretty sure i ovulated a week later than last time so technically yes im probably 4 weeks rather than 5 like last time. I had nightmares all night lastnight that my hcg levels were dropping....ugh. Im trying to stay calm and relaxed. I havent had many cramps since sunday/monday morning and have only spotting light brown no red. so well see. I will deff. keep you posted and pray all goes well tomorrow. I dont really feel pregnant this time around. Praying its moving slowly this time perhaps indicating a healthy pregnancy this yime around?!?!
hcg levels with different pregnancies are always going to be different!! thats why the normal averages are so varied. here's what i found on the internet so i think your okay!!

there we go then!that could be y!also the above post from worrieddd612 explains alot and shows ur hcg levels are normal!dont worry about the nightmares!they arent a premonition or anything!with my 1st i had so many nightmares that i was gonna lose my baby and woke up screaming and crying!he was fine!and iv already had 2 dreams where i lose this baby!tis just hormones and stress affecting ur dreams!thats good then!sounds like u have some promising signs!and dont worry about not feeling pregnant!a lot of women dont feel pregnant till a lot later and with my first i dint feel pregnant till i was about 5/6 weeks!i really hope it is a healthy pregnancy this time!u deserve it!good luck and thanx for keeping me posted!

Thank you thank you thank you. I was really worried today about tomorrow and going to have my hcg levels tested again. I practically spent the whole day laying down and napping to try to relax and not think about it. lol. Its weird ive still been spotting and cramping here and there but not consistant at this point at all. my lower back has been a little achey tho. I guess im just worried about every little thing. Not to mention im a very petite women and this may be why i feel everyhting. thank you for the numbers I guess i need to stop analyzing this pregnancy from the previous cuz each is different. i guess its hard to believe when i only have one body. i am very thankful and blessed to be able to share and get reasuring feedback. Makes these days easier for me. Especially for the husband. he doesnt like to see me so worried and upset. Im gunna pray really hard tonight for my numbers to double and pray this little one will be a healthy happy baby we can hold and kiss in october! so thank you!
aw well its no problem at all im glad i could help some. i was the same way when i was early on i worried about every little cramp and ache. i was afraid to bounce around too much for fear of shaking the little baby loose haha!! but everything should be just fine & yes prayer is your best bet always! try not to worry, while cramping and spotting can be warning signs they are also are both common in viable pregnancies. so i bet everything is fine!! keep us posted!!
im exactly the same as u n worrieddd612!i worry about everything!thats y this site is so gd!i mean this pregnancy is so different to my 1st!plus it dont help that i found out with this one even earlier than with my 1st so i have had longer to worry!lol!gd luck today!let us know what ur count is!!!
update....ahh feel like i can breathe again.....so my doc. called today with my blood hcg result they went up from 750 on monday to 1300 today. she said they went up beautifully and i dont have to go back in 48 to another round of blood testing. she is schedualling an u/s next week. Nervous still hoping things look good next week, but this is one good step! thank you for all ur support :0) My cramps have reduced tons (ive been laying down and tkaing it eays for three days) and spotting is minimal. Nervous to see how i feel working tomorrow. cross our fingers and say a prayer tongiht!!!

ahh yay thats so good to hear!! im sure thats a HUGE relief! now you can sit back and enjoy your pregnancy!! thats good though try to stay relaxed and take it easy..i would even go the extra mile and avoid sex since you don't have a cause for the spotting yet! but everything sounds amazing im so happy for you! :)

so I am curious as i didnt have this with my previous pregnancy....acne!!! Yuck. I had a couple on my back which is disgusting and now my forehead and above my lip are getting the tiny little buggers as well!!! Not attractive. Has there been anyone else that has been dealing with early pregnancy acne?!?!?!
