It's my 3rd week working @ a new job and they have no idea I'm pregnant. Im starting to show and it's getting harder and harder to cover. Problem is I have no idea how to tell them. And I dont want my boss getting mad because I didnt tell her in the interview. I have an appointment next week which is my 19 week check up and anatomy scan. Idk what to do :/ And idk how much longer I'm going to be at this job. I'm trying to look for one closer to my house b/c this job is eating away at gas and I need the money for the baby and for getting ready. HELP

Im trying to get a new job now anyway. Im not a huge fan of the whole daycare thing. Idk I thought I'd love it but I really don't. I feel like I never want to go in anymore :/

I would tell them too. At my daughter's daycare, they re-arrange the classes when a teacher is pregnant so she can work with the older kids who do not need much physical help. Sometimes, they go back very soon after delivery and sometimes, the teachers are happy for the change and keep the new positions until the next rotation comes along.

Just be honest.. tell them you are pregnant and ask them to give you work you can do. Tell them you have every intention to stay and do your best. Dont stress. Dont cause physical stress on your body either.

I work at a daycare center. And I've heard other pregnant people have worked there but I know they have been there for a while. I've been fine working there so far but Im starting to get pain in my back and stomach from cleaning up after the kids and everything. I'm already showing and it's hard enough to hide it as it is... Idk what to do

what kind of work do you do? can you still be pregnant and work there too? if so, dont worry. if she fires you, you didnt want to work there anyway and you could then look for a closer job and save on gas.. dont stress.. its bad for the baby

You are not allowed to be fired because you are pregnant, that would be considered discrimination. Plus you are not obligated to tell a boss during an interview or even when you know you are pregnant. I told mine pretty early on because I hate hiding stuff, but then I have been here awhile and I wasnt worried about a negative response. What can get you in trouble sometimes is missing a lot of work for appointments, they can say you have bad availability. Keep looking for your new job, and keep doing your best work at your current job. Eventually you are not going to be able to hide it, especially as you are getting more into the second trimester. Either let your boss know or let them figure it out on your own.
