am i losing the baby? Plz help :(

i got my bfp last thursday yayness! After 9months of trying. It all turned a bit pete tong yesterday when i started experiencing sharp pains in my lower abdoman-right hand side, my partner rushed me to the hospital were they suspected an ectopic pregnancy, i had a scan done,bloods etc. Bloods came back with the pregnancy hormone level at 5000. The scan done transvaginal showed the pregnancy is in the right place (phew!) but the gestational sac is already 11.5mm and im only 5weeks 3days, no hb or foetus was detected. The doc wants me back for another scan friday as he said for the amount of hormone in my blood and the size of the sac he should have been able to see more then just the sac and yolk. Am i going to lose the baby? Opinions and advice greatly appreciated as going out of my mind with worry x x x

5 weeks can be to early to see a baby and a heartbeat. Keep us posted on your next scan. Praying everything will be ok

When I was 5 weeks I went in for an ultrasound and saw wxcally what you saw but went in at 6 weeks and saw baby and a little flickering heartbeat.. I am now 22 weeks pregnant.. Dont worry, i know its easier said then done but everything will be okay!

its too early to see any thing. in my first baby i went for u/s on 7th week and she had hard time to see baby.( anything) it was too small. and she did veginal u/s as she couldnt see in normal u/s..................trust me u r not gonna lose baby. have happy 9 months

Try not to worry (i know it is easier said then done!) i could not see anything on an ultrasound till i was 6 weeks and 4 days. So it could just be too early still.

At 5w3d my first pregnancy we just saw a sac and my levels were 11000. At 6w1d we saw a baby and a heartbeat. My daughter is now 3 years old. At 5 weeks even a couple days can make a huge difference in what you can and cannot see.

It may have been too early to see it. I definitely would not stress about it yet. I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks 2 days and you could still barely see anything and I am now 34 weeks. Good luck at your scan Friday =)

You should wait until your next scan, sometimes it takes longer to show up on ultrasound. 5 wks is still early.... Your not going to see an actual "baby".
