I had an xray done and it shows one fallopian tube is blocked and one is fine. I am 27year and I will be trying to have kids in the next few months. I am worried about blocked tube. I read that if you ovulate on the side that is blocked you will never get pregnant. The Xray tech did not tell me that it was blocked, I read on-line that if you try to have tubal surgery it might cause damage to the other fallopian tube! Also, that you can only get pregnant every other month due to one blocked tube. I want to know by how much percentage does it increase your chances of getting pregnant if both fallopian tubes are open? I don't want to do surgery if its not worth it but I also don't want to wait 1yr to get pregnant. my right side fallopian tube was blocked
Please help...not sure what to do!
Hiya dont worry at all about having a blocked tube, this isnt the end of the world.ive had a blocked tube for 3 years now and concieved few times in that period, currently pregnant now.it is true that having tubal surgery to correct a blocked tube can make it worse.they do say for at least 3 months after the dye test done you are more fertile, and since you dont have a repeat one,for some women the procedure can unblock the tube.as for ovulating only every other month, this is a myth.you will always ovulate each month.during ovulation the egg is picked up by the hair follicles, and can in fact travel down either tube, suppose to say if right tube is blocked.and you release egg from right,it may still be picked up from the left.dont let this put you off.a womans chance of pregnancy every month is 25% this is for any woman.do you chart etc.if not i would consider doing this.and honestly do not worry.this isnt a big deal.im 36 tomorrow.and have a 16 years old son, took me lots of years to get where we are now.doctors would tell you to wait for a year before they will invistigate any further.best of luck.oh i found missionary position the best, sounds daft but after i would lay on my left side and put pillow under.
