Mine does the same thing. I read in a pregnancy book its normal to have a congested nose.
Yes very much normal :( I'm 16+5 and I've had since the beginning as well. The doctor prescribed me flonase a week ago but I've only used saline spray. Its given some relief.
Oh! Nasal saline spray, a humidifier, and breathe right strips are my saviors btw lol
Bloody noses are also a common complaint in pregnancy. As you get extra blood flow, which causes the stuffy nose, your mucus membranes become more sensitive to trauma.
If you get a bloody nose the first thing to do is actually blow it to get any clots out, they aren't the kind of clots you want. Then with a new tissue pinch your nose completely closed and tilt your head FORWARD. Tilting your head backwards will only cause the blood to run into your throat causing you to swallow it. This can cause nausea and vomiting.
Pinch your nose for AT LEAST five minutes. DO NOT peek!!
After five minutes release pressure. Gently blow your nose.
Start the steps over again if the bleed continues. If your nose bleed increases in severity, or lasts more than 15 minutes call your doctor.
I've had daily nosebleeds for 14 years and these are instructions from my hematologist and ent.
Don't worry your nosebleeds will pass ;-)
Yup - nasal congestion is a common symptom of pregnancy. I would mention it to your doctor though if you often have blood coming out!
