You DON'T have to have another c-section!! Talk with ur doc about vbac..if they are not open to it, find a doc that is!!! My doc was all for me going vbac with my second, unfortunately it didn't work out, but I was given the option!! My baby was too big, n he feared abt uterine rumpture!! But everyone is different, talk to ur doc!!!!
It depends on where you live. In Kansas, if you have a c-section-always a c-section. We have had some that are dead set on doing vaginal birth the next time but the hospitals make you sign a statement releasing them from all liability. VBAC's can be successful but I have seen (when we used to them) go terribly wrong. You do take a chance on uterine rupture. Some of the midwifes in the area still do them with success or the hsopital gets them when they go wrong. Follow the advice of your dr. All that is important in the end is that you and your baby are ok. Goodluck!
I agree with amy8702, you should be able to have a vaginal delivery. How long has it been since your first c-section? If it was less than a year than no you can't have a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section) because the incision hasn't fully healed, but if it has been over a year and your baby cooperates you should be able to have a VBAC no problem. Oh, it also depends on the type of incision you had, if you had a vertical/traditional incision you cannot have a VBAC under any circumstances, this kind of incision is extremely rare these days though, Doctors normally do a bikini/horizontal incision which you can definately have a VBAC with. Talk to your doctor but I would be surprised if they didn't let you have one. Goodluck.
I got extremely lucky with my c section and was up and about the next but, everyones body is different. I would think you would be able to go naturally. How long has it been?
The reason I had one with my first is because i was in labor with my waterbroke for more than 24 hours and I started to get an infection. The c section just made me really incapable of taking care of my new one
Here in Canada, if its been 2 years and usually depending on the reason you have the choice. My son was breech and if I wanted to, my next prgnancy I can pick. But every situation is different that's something to ask your Dr. For sure
I don't think u do I do believe if u've had with 1st u gotta get with rest but good? To ask ur doctor
