confused!

as some of you know i was 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant! the bleeding has still continue'd but i took a test it still said positive! so i rang up the doctors friday and they said to go in for another test so i did and it came back positive again! and she said because i was so early they wouldnt be able to tell if i am having a miscarriage they wouldnt be able to see anything on u/s .. do you reckon this could just be a normal period, im starting to feel sick,headache, tired and reli bad backachee??

I had blood through my whole first pregnancy! I was told it was fine. But i was really watched. Hospital alot..

If it was a period, then you would be miscarrying. A female doesn't have a true cycle while pregnant, just due to what is involved. During your period you shed the uterine lining that the fertilized egg implants into. If this is shed during pregnancy the egg is flushed out with the rest of the tissue. You can however have period like bleeding. For as long as you have the hCG hormone in your body you will have symptoms and feel pregnant. Overall they do not indicate viability. You definitely need blood testing done until you are far enough long for ultrasound.

thankyou ever so much! well ever since it feels like my pregnancy symptoms have gotten stronger! but i came on late three months in a row! the first time i was 4 days late, second time i was a week and 4 days late and this month i was three days late! im very very confused.:( x

They should be able to do a blood test for the hcg levels and then do them again in 2 days.   If the levels double then everything may still be ok.  but they need to increase by at least 60% in 2 days.  if they don't then they can tell if it is a miscarriage.
