I went to the doctor last month and measured at 8w1d and a heartbeat at 170, then I go back for my appointment and he tells me that there is no heartbeat and the baby measured at 9w1d and I am supposed to be 12w.  I don't want to believe that my baby is dead and I have no cramping or bleeding.  They want me to go for a DNC tomorrow.  HELP

You can wait for a natural miscarriage to give you more time. The fact that there was a hb and now is not is pretty conclusive that the pregnancy stopped progressing. It can take weeks forr your body to recognize that development stopped and you can continue to have symptoms. The concern is that the baby stopped development stopped 3 weeks ago so there becomes concerns around infection. If you are not showin signs of infection at point then you can wait it but ive read stories of it taking up to 8 to even start to pass.

Im really sorry for your loss. My first ended in miscarriage. I was in such disbelief. At m y 12 week scan i had an empty sac measuring 7.5 weeks. I ended getting a d&c bcuz i had no cramping or bleeding and just could not take the waiting.

I am so sorry. I thought I was 11 weeks with my baby but I had some cramping and bleeding so my doctor sent me to have an ultrasound. they said the baby dies at 7 weeks.  I am very sorry.  I didn't have a D and C. When I started bleeding that's when I knew something was wrong. It was a Friday so they said if I bleed over the weekend to come in, they said this before I knew the baby was gone.  So I had it naturally at home. It is very painful both emotionally and physically. If you can avoid it, have the D and C.  The doctors can tell you what went wrong. It happens so much in first time pregnancies. I have two kids now, and I thought that I would never have any. I miscarried on Halloween and was pregnant with my daughter by the end of January. they sometimes say wait three months, to make sure you are healed. I hope this helps and once again I am so sorry.
