cramps at 37 weeks?

Ive been having period like cramps on my right side all day now they are on my left as well. My stomach gets really hard and its painful. I'm 37 wks. I have a Dr appt tomorrow afternoon I don't know if I should wait till then or what. My hospital is 15/20 mins away and I'd have to drive there by myself since hubbub is at work an hour away.
Could it be contractions? Front labor?
With my 3 year old son I had back labor and had him at 38wks 4days.

sounds like you maybe in early labour, unless your baby is in the poisterior position you should feel most of yur contractions in the front of your tummy, you should start timing them and depending on your hospital, and when they like you to come in, let them know whats going on :)

Its possible that maybe you are having contractions, but you could also be dehydrated...which cause those symptoms, but you should always call your OB/GYN office to speak to a nurse.
