discharge or mucus plug...

How can you tell the difference between discharge or some of your mucus plug ( cuz I know that it doesn't come all out at once for everyone)

Mucus plug is usually darker (normal discharge should be white, clear, or pale yellow). Your mucous plug will be tinted pink, red, or brownish most the time. Otherwise, it's hard to tell. It's definitely thicker than normal discharge!

Clear should indicate normal mucous but I'd let your provider know at your next appointment (or call if you're worried). Losing your plug isn't a big deal but it is a nice indicator that labor may be getting close!
