Im going with enfamil. But that doesnt mean baby can handle it. Every baby is different on what formula they can use and keep down. I did research on formulas though. They are basically all the same but they say enfamil is closest to early breast milk..
I wanted to breast feed my daughter but couldn't. They gave us the orange label Gerber. But she wouldn't eat it. Turns out she needed soy. But I used Gerber for her. If you use Wic I think they switched contracts so they don't do Gerber but I'm not 100% sure.
ive used good start with my first 2 and plan on using it with this one also
Enfamil is better but just be prepared to jump around. Its really up to babys tummy. Id love if I could buy cheap formula but nope 40 $ per 12oz can here and going to have to move up to an even more expensive one. And thats just a regular milk/stomach disagreement in babies.
Our wic here is only contracted with gerber and will not give you anything else even with a script unless its a high price formula
Similac total comfort is what my son used and he loves it
I haven't tried enfamil or gerber
I would check with your wic office(if you have it) and see what they do cause i believe in fl. They did enfamil and in ny i believe the hospital said they also do enfamil.
I had my daughter on similac advanced and it didn't work well with her belly, but since we have wic we had to try 2 similac brands before they gave us what we wanted. So we did and now she's on enfamil and it works great. It's all up to baby's belly.
we used similac, but what everyone else is saying is true...you can't make this.decision until baby is here and then baby will make the.decision for you
Im going with enfamil..already bought cans and I trust it because thats what I used last time for my youngest for the first year of his life
Similac Advanced, then switched to Similac Sensitive due to tummy problems.
Gerber Goodstart Gentle (the orange label) is very well tolerated by a lot of babies. I work in PEDs and have rarely seen babies have issues with the Gerber products (some do of course, but it seems to be more well tolerated than the other brands) I am going to be breastfeeding but also supplementing with Gerber formula as well.
Enfamil was amazing for us
Similac sensitive worked great for my son
Enfamil is the best.... if I had to supplement that is what I used...
Most doctors will tell you when the baby is born. At the hospital here if you don't breastfeed they automatically feed them simillac.
Enfamil for my son. It's what the hospital gave him to start so I stuck with it :)
I used similar sensitive with my first son and now I'm thinking about trying to use gerber gentle ease for my daughter that's due November 8th. I just look at the back of formula and compare what's in which brand and what looks like I think is the best.
Also I plan to take my own formula to the hospital to start her on instead of what they have. I used there's with my son then switched to what I bought and I felt horrible for him. He had horrible gas and was spitting up for a week while he adjusted to it so this time I'm just going to start with what I buy for her and jot use there's and then switch.
When you have your baby if you don't plan on breastfeeding the hospital gives you little bottles to feed your baby while you're there. And that is the enfamil newborn formula. I've always done enfamil but have tried all the different types of brands also. They are all the same just different companies. The only thing you really have to choose from is the type to get I use gentlease. For fussyness gas and crying.
