getting pregnant after mirena

I have had the Mirena IUD since dec....well my husband and I have decided we would like to have another baby...anyone know if it is going to take longer to concieve once I have the mirena removed,?

I had my Mirena since may '06 and had it removed in march '08 and i just got my first positive opk last week...I didnt get a reg menstral untill may and now we are hoping we are...just waiting it out

well...I had my mirena taken out on the 31st of may(after almost 3 years of having it in)...and i'm already pregnant!! i had a period on June 2-5th, then we bd all month and now ta-da! i'm pg!!  so--needless to say it didn't take any time at all for us, but every woman is different...i know for some women it takes a bit longer...so who knows!  good luck! and sticky baby dust to you!!!

well i took two HPT and both came back pos and wen i went to the er form blood test it came back NEG im LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the Mirena for 16 months.  I had it removed Nov. 14, a period on the 23rd and a positive pregnancy test on December 19th - wow that was fast!! I am now 32 weeks with baby #2.  The period on the 23rd was pretty light too and prior to that I had only had 2 while on the Mirena.  Good luck!

I had Mirena for 3 years. Had it removed it at the end of December and was pregnant in March, having a BOY!!!!
Ps.  I NEVER had my period while having Mirena, wich was greattt...

I had my merina just taken out and had heavy period for 6-7 days how long does it take to stop? durig merina, wich had it on for 6 mnths didn't have my period.I would really appreciate it!

I had mine taken out a little over a year ago, and I remember it lasting about 7 days, bt everyone is different. I had mine about 4  years, with no periods the whole time. We just recently conceived in Oct! Good luck to you.

mirena hormones can do that so thats not very far fetched i was the same way i used to always have to get a blood test done so i hear what your saying

Had my mirena for almost 6 years (turns out they work fine for up to 1 year after the recommended 5-year term, as my doctor informed me of) and got pregnant right after 2nd period. Go figure, and...yay!!!!
