glucose/diabetes testing

Question

Ok so I'm getting a lil nervous. I have my glucose and diabetes testing on wed. I nervous bout the testing and the drink...is it as bad as iam making it?

I just had that done last week I was 29w I didn't want to go in and do it because when I eat sugar I feel really sick I get a really bad headache and just feel sick, so I didn't want to go knowing I would have to drink that sugary soda. As soon as I drank the first sip I knew what I was in for :( my head hurt until I got back. But I think the results came back good cause I heard nothing from my nurse, and she did say they call you if something is wrong. So I'm glad I passed. :) if I did it I'm sure you'll do fine!

no i havent... my next appt is the 30th im ganna ask again then ill be almoss 25 weeks... the first day i went in after the prego test came back positive is wen they called me back nd juss told me to drink it nd wait an hour nd then got blood nd then wen the results came back she said i didnt have diabetes.. my moms tellin me they probably will do it again

No, that sounds like the glucose test. They may test you again, but I doubt it, I've heard that sometimes it can be done earlier if you have any risk factors for gestational diabetes. Have you asked them about it?

My last doctor did it at 20 weeks, most doctors do it between 26-28 weeks though.

how many weeks are yu?
im 22+2 nd i dnt think i had that... i had a test in the beginning where i drank a drink nd waited an hour nd got blood but peoples telling me yu do it again wen yur further along?

Not at all! I chose the orange drink (after many people telling me that was the best) and it definitely wasn't bad at all! I got a little shaky after, but passed, don't stress about it, the worst part is waiting an hour!

I just done my test last week and I was a nervous wreck! It was not that bad however, I got the fruit punch kind and it was tolerable...once I got about half the bottle down I started to really hate the taste of it but thankfully it was then half way over and so i just hurried up and drank the rest. Good luck with it!
