glucose test question curious anyone?
Okay last time I had one done it was 6yrs ago I recall getting it done on a empty stomach getting blood drawn drinking the stuff then waiting an hour and getting blood drawn again.....as to this time they didn't let me kno I was getting it done and didn't withdraw any blood before giving me the drink....is that how they do it now??
They only took blood from me after I drank the stuff. They probably had additional lab work to do.
When I took the test last year, I had to fast for 12 hours. I came in, they drew blood, then I drank the drink, waited an hour and they drew blood again.
Hmmmmm. Cuz I recall for both my previous pregnancies that's how they performed my glucose test blood then drink and then blood again this time it was just drink and blood :/ oh well I guess since it's a different doctor this time
On my instructions my dr gave me it says just drink the stuff and then after a hour or so they will draw blood. Maybe last time they were drawing blood to test something else.
